Past Event Items

What is the chance of we players getting the ability to get past events items for our entire account? An example of this would be any of the items from the Crystalline Entity Events. Its hectic doing 8 toons to get the events items for each of them.

probably none. Cryptic has stated they want special items to be exclusive. I'm not sure why this is. I would like that mindset to change as I have missed the Breen carrier and the shotgun. I don't see it happening though. This does get brought up quite a lot and maybe that alone might sway them toward doing an event. But, believe that said event will likely be a per character unlock because metrics.

Console users might bring a change to special items being exclusive. There are a ton of unique ships and other Event rewards that they won't get unless Cryptic introduces some method to get these items. Whether it is through the Lobi Store, requiring us to grind for each item, or some other method remains to be seen.

Putting Event items as account unlocks in an Event Store similar to the way Event Ships are done would be the best way to do it, I would think.

I enjoy the fact that I have my shotgun though I almost never use it. At least adding earned minor event items like the shotgun to the dilithium store for dilithium would still be welcome as players that love them could buy them for their alts. This would still keep minor event items exclusive and add a cost to not doing the event with your alts. Plus it would be a decent small dil sink.

I agree with badmoon, Cryptic did the Event ships to unlock account wide,why can't they did it with the console items or Admiralty ship tokens? I get tired of having to switch between eight toons in order or them all to get the items. I'm sure there are many gamers who would to run just one toon through the events in order to get the items or their entire accounts.

I asked the devs during startrek mission to NY event, if we have the ability now to get ships as account unlocks for alts and new toons when will that happen for even items. They said they want to bring this into the game but didn't say much of how or when. So it's something.

That's highly unlikely. Look at the key sales that the infinity lock box generated. Keys were in tremendously high demand and have been since then. Account wide unlocks for lock box ships would effectively destroy a major revenue source.

Yeah, I wouldn't support Lock Box ships as account unlocks. But I would love to be able to re-box Lock Box/Lobi ships, even if that meant the re-boxing bound it to the account, just so you could transfer the ships to other characters on the same account.

That is why I wanted the person I quoted to clarify what they meant. The only other ships that could be made into account unlocks are Dilithium ships and Fleet ships. Dilithium ships don't seem to get much use lately and Fleet ships make sense that Cryptic wants to keep them single character only since they should be bought from the Fleet Shipyard.

Of course, Cryptic could sell Account Ship Unlock tokens for Lockbox ships, R&D Event ships, and Lobi Store ships for 500 Zen to 3000 Zen. Lots of people that acquire Lockbox ships might only get it for one character, but would be willing to spend 3000 Zen to unlock it for every character.

it would be interesting to see, that we get event reputation unclock, and that t5 event reputation gives us option to store, and that every thing we unlocked we can pay 500 or 1000 zen per alt to get it unlocked, while items we didn't never earned cost like 2k or 3k to get unclocked.

And that price in ZEN, actually would serve to preserve the rarity of items, even if someone has them, yet to get unclock it on alt, he should pay, so it would be lot of them, rarity preserved, maybe more funds for company.

in any case better then lot of grinding on alts, tho yes that should also stay available if someone don't want to pay unclock but if he has time he can do it by playing xmany times, its needed
