1. It's my favorite sci-fi ship ever. Can't really explain why, the design is just awesome. That and its an iconic design. It deserves it.
2. Every other ship in this poll has at the very least a T5U variant. I can't play endgame with the T1 cruiser without feeling silly... and asking for trouble from the (rightfully) annoyed teammates.
3. By getting the Light Cruiser up to this tier, we can also get T6 Centaurs, that would be another canon ship off the list.
Actually I don't care if they're only T5, I just want the last two DS9 era ships for my collection.
Edit: How odd, a double post.

none... Feds have 6x the options Romulans and Klingons have right now, lets give the other 2 some more options for a change.
As much as I agree part of the reason they have so few ships is just how small their population is compared to the federation fact, as such i understand why they get so few ships as the possible payout is that much less. This is part of why I wish the game was more based on a sub-model than on a ship/store/f2p model.
I would not mind seeing them kick out a tier six version of the Dhelan, while I would also not mind seeing some actually Remen ship designs for the romulans. Though I would not mind seeing a few ships from the non-klingon races of the kdf, like a Orion science ship or escort/raider. I would not mind seeing a few from the gorn like the Balaur Dreadnaught, Zilant Battleship, Tuatara Cruisers, and even the Naga fighters or Vishap frigate (getting these as options for use on hanger-pet capable ships would be nice). I would not mind seeing what a Gorn carrier would look like either. Hell seeing the Ferasan get a escort or battle-cruiser that could use design elements that are based off the styles of the Atrox, while the Atrox could gain a skin that has a look similar to the Fersan ship, and both ships could be used/bought by both sides would be nice.
Andorian is canon and what about the Vulcan ship? I vote for those
I would love to see both of those race's ship lines added to the game, as it does not seem like they completely gave up developing, and building them, but merely scaled by the production number of them.
Which occupation has the most T6 ships at this point?
Well, to be pedantic, technically any occupation can use any ship. However, if we work by the old premise that Science character = Science ship, Tactical character = Escorts and Engineer character = cruisers, Engineers have the most T6 ships by a very wide margin:
(...)
In fact, the huge choice of (T6) cruisers already available is one of the reasons I maintain the personal opinion that a Science ship or escort should take precedence over yet another cruiser (namely T6 Sovereign).
I agree that there are a lot of cruisers which only have minor variations in parts. But to be fair, you counted fleet versions twice. Although the game mechanics consider a fleet ship an entirely different, new ship from the one you had it shouldn't count as another option as it's basically an upgrade that comes with almost any ship that's not somehow "special" anyway.

Intel Cruiser
Fleet Intel Cruiser
Guardian Cruiser
Mirror Guardian Cruiser
Fleet Guardian Cruiser Three Command Cruisers
The Exploration Cruiser
The Fleet Exploration Cruiser
The Advanced Heavy Cruiser
The Fleet Advanced Heavy Cruiser
The Dreadnought Cruisers
The Fleet Dreadnought Cruisers
The Battle Cruiser
The Fleet Battle cruiser
The three Flagship Cruisers
The three 26th century cruiser variants
The KT Command Cruiser
The 23rd Century Light Cruisers
In fact, the huge choice of (T6) cruisers already available is one of the reasons I maintain the personal opinion that a Science ship or escort should take precedence over yet another cruiser (namely T6 Sovereign).
Going by what the Commander BOff slot is (and not counting Fleet versions as they are more of a upgrade of the existing ship), the current number of T6 ships:
"I'm not big on telepaths myself. I'm not big on guns either. But if everyone else has them, I want to make sure I can get my hands on the biggest one I can."
To be fair, I personally consider the Fleet ships to be an individual purchase because:
- they require the purchase of fleet module(s) to obtain
- they are available as individual purchases
- the purchase of their non-fleet counterparts, whilst making the Fleet ship less expensive, are not essential to the process.
In otherwords, if I (for example) rather like the T6 (Galaxy) Dreadnought, but don't care about it's console or traits, there is no reason whatsoever I can't simply purchase the Fleet version instead, bypassing the C-store version.
But it's not a different "port" in terms of the question wether or not the ship is "promoted" to T6. The fleet version only exists because the T6 already exists. For the sake of this argument, the Fleet Andromeda and Andromeda are essentially the same becaus they represent the Galaxies' T6 port.

Sure, a Nova would be nice, next to a Sovereign assuming it comes with its unique bridge, but I'm saving all my leftover Zen for a proper T6 Sci Warbird.
Where normal/c-store ship and the fleet grade are concerned, the way I see it is that the fleet grade does not change the playstyle/boff layout. It's like going out an getting a firebird an then dropping just a more powerful engine in it, the model is the exact same just with a more powerful engine. As such they really should not be considered as their own ship, but even with that I agree cruisers/dreadnought/battle-cruisers are quite overdone right now, and it would be nice to see some science ship releases as they have at most 9 tier five to six ships (escorts/escort carriers/destroyers have 17) so far fed side

Got a clue how many the Rom or FKD have?
Klingons don't get drunk.
They just get less sober.
Sadly, the Sovereign will always win these polls as it was a hero ship. And as have said before, I would like to see a T6 Sovvie; but considering the overwhelming number of cruiser releases we've had since DR, I maintain the opinion that a sci ship or escort should come next.
Nova and Luna Class are high on my list. Would be fun with some clean up and a new hull on them.

Oh yeah, but got a clue how many players play KDF and/or Romulan compared federation? I would love to see the kdf an romulans get more ships, but that would only start to happen when we see more of a evening out of the population difference between the three to make it more viable an option to produce ships for all three.
Also that would be 18 cruiser/carrier/battle-cruisers for the Kdf, while you have 6 in comparison for the romulans for that same class line. In the science grouping you have 3 ships for the romulans as well as Kdf. For the last groupings of raiders/warbirds/bop/flight deck raptor/destroyers you are looking at 17 for the romulans, while for the Kdf you have 14 ships. Also to keep in mind is that kdf an romulan have had less time for the devs to develop ships for their side compared to federation, which with them having the majority of the pop makes them a priority (I highly doubt they would put out more ships for the other two factions compared to the fed without a shift in population diversity.)
What kind of logic is that?
Why are KDF and Roms punished for being them?
The KDF started out as a faction which who the Feds could PvP, but as faction it has been VERY neglected.
Roms have been neglected too.
And STILL you Feds want everything, with no regard to the other two factions.
The fact you don't play KDF (a lot/not at all) is your problem.
It's your loss.
Both factions ARE there, give them equal attention.
The deserve it, for fudges sake.
