Why leave this out of the game when it's an integral feature on the PC version?
What about the dof system where you can send crew out on missions?
Got one character to level 30 but quickly losing interest as there isn't much to do other than missions from the story lines, at least on the PC I can always do player made content as well.
PvP doesn't hold any interest for me as it effects nothing in the game world, I would do it if the factions could take control of star systems.

That's because the doff and R&D system has not been installed yet. It WILL arrive in due course. Cryptic has already said this. They have to make sure 6 years of content works first! They'll also probably be reviewing the inner workings of each system so they can apply those improvements to the PC's version at a later date.
