How long payment verification can take ?

So i bough zen point via steam because when trying to buy via arc resulted in asking my credit card number even when using paypal.\
So i had to use steam.
Now they say that my payment needs to be verified.
For love of god. Firstly they do not allow me to buy them directly from their website, and then putting a restriction on me.
So how long will it take ? How much time they need to verify the transaction ?
