It has been stated time after time after time after time after time (get the idea yet ?) that the console version was developed to bring in the players that play exclusively on consoles, a vast and untapped market.

It was not developed as a alternate means of play for PC players as STO already has that market tapped ...... and is doing it's best to bleed it dry...

J/K about the "bleed it dry"

The only slap in the face any PC lifetime members are getting is them smacking their own faces against the welcoming hand that Cryptic has held out to the console exclusive players.
    LTS and loving it.

In my case it feels like a pretty big slap in the face. I haven't had a PC to play STO on for several years. I used to play the Mac version occasionally, but it never worked very well and has been discontinued. I do have and Xbox One, so when I found out the game was out on console I was quite excited that I might actually be able to make use of my lifetime subscription again. Unfortunately they have chosen to make the lifetime subscription on console a separate purchase.

I will not be buying a lifetime subscription a second time. The cost is far too expensive to buy it again. I would consider paying an upgrade fee to get my lifetime subscription benefits on the console as well as on the PC, but even the current sale price is really high for someone that has already payed on PC who would now like to play on console. I think I understand the business reasons for the decision. From the point of view of the players, though, it is a slap in the face, and a pretty greedy move.

I don't expect to have my progress transfer from PC to console or to have items from the PC version transfer. I have a lot of Zen points that I have not been able to spend on the PC because I haven't been able to play the game. Why shouldn't I be able to choose to spend those points on the console version instead? I don't think that would be unreasonable. If they have to be separate subscriptions for business reasons, then offer a major discount for PC subscribers to add a lifetime subscription to the console version. That would be more reasonable.

You do realize that the zen would not transfer over to the Xbox right? When you buy zen you have to choose a serverholodeck being the only choice before, but now its Holodeck, xbox, and ps4. the zen is on holodeck and would stay there. Plus the Lifetime sub for xbox/ps4 does not come with the 500 zen stipend. That in of itself makes the xbox/ps4 lifetime sub a different service, requiring a seperate purchase.

Yeah I was pissed when I saw that I thought console players would be on the same server as everyone else but no separate servers if you want to play on console you don't get your lifetime subscription plus you have to pay a whole bunch of money again to get the ships all over again. I been also wondering who was in charge of that stupid launch to consoles why are console players separate to PC players I was excited for the launch not so much to play on console too much but to actually see more people in the game I find the game is a bit empty with the new sector space update. Plus it would have been smart to put the console players on 1 server because of fleets as well I'm not sure how many people are on console but I don't think there are as many people on console compared to PC. If they put console players and PC players all on 1 server you could have bigger fleets/armadas more people on the ground and space combat zones and just more people in general buying master keys and getting ships and the price for ships on the exchange could go down with so many of the same ship on the exchange at the same time. I am also not sure about if Cryptic can even do this but the idea of having your characters in the cloud so you can just go to any server anytime without transferring. With this idea for consoles the should have at LEAST done that.
