First Impressions

Well it does run smoother and the graphics are better for me, but i have two things so far I'm not happy about. #1 when in sector space i can't adjust the camera back so i can see the ship and if your flying the science nova it's tiny so i hope this will be fixed #2 the aim reticle you should be able to toggle it off so far i haven't figured it out how. other than these things for me i having fun i hope PvsE will come soon cause i like Starbase 24

I'm assuming you are talking about the console game, but not sure since you are posting in the PC forums.

Well, there still aren't any console forums, so...

Tried it out on my XBone earlier. I don't like the fact that I can't zoom in on my ship in sector space - that Miranda is just so very tiny. And the controls will take some time to get used to. Overall, though, not that bad.

I was wondering about that myself on the PS4. (before the PS4 network went and died) . Figured when I got on, I'd check in the options and see if they had something there.

I did. The closest it gets still leaves the Miranda as a tiny little thing out there - probably so it can encompass the (huge) ships you can get later.

I played it on my xbox One, I found the controls to be a bit awkward at first but have mostly gotten used to them, however the limited camera zoom options compared to PC is annoying. I also don't like that I can't move the camera independently of my character while on the ground, such as panning the camera to some epic angle while blasting away at some big bad. Can't do that anymore because my character always points in the same direction as the crosshair unless there's some option I'm missing.

I also don't like how visible the crosshair is, in most shooters the crosshair is simple and very minimal making them very easy to see past and through but the one on console is larger than it needs to be and is in the way when I'm trying to look at something.

I hope this didn't sound too whiney or nitpicky.

the console uses permanent shooter mode, there is no overhead view option. i don't know if there is a toggle for the reticle.

There appears to be a link between reticule speed and camera distance...

The zoom was a bit annoying, but if you hold A, you can change the camera view. Another gripe of mine is the single account bank slot. Otherwise, I have been enjoying the game and the no transfer of cstore purchases really doesnt bother me, since I they are there on pc still.
