This has probably been reported already, but I'm having trouble playing on Tribble everything is so bright it was giving me a headache.

Even when I turned the brightness down to 20 it was still bright.
I got a nvdia gforce 520

Edit: I just discovered what was causing this. I have a program called "flux" installed which changes the white balance of my monitor at night to be warmer. This is interacting with STO and breaking the brightness slider. I have to completely exit the program to stop this bizarre interaction.
I'd had the same issue and adjusted brightness & bloom way down. After doing the above it's running on almost the same settings as Holodeck (slightly lower Bloom, that's all). Worth a shot ?
Edit: Nimbus, same \area as above. Brightness 100%, Bloom 20%, max. settings (I use 30% bloom on Holodeck).

BTW using win 10 64 bit and a 970 with 372.54 drivers. 1920x1080 with all settings max and msaa*8 except I currently play with the bloom setting at off. Let me add that i use the win 10 default color profile and do not change any color, brightness, gamma etc settings either in windows or in game. I avoid doing so and calibrate my monitor instead with test patterns and i only use the monitors controls. This avoids a lot of issues as so many games have color, brightness and gamma issues. I haven't really found any terrible lighting issue areas with bloom off. Although the lighting does not seem correct as it's still a bit to bright in some areas vs live. Even comparing portraits when selecting an away team member you can see the extra brightness vs live. Correcting the Bloom I think would do it for me personally though.
Hm, a bit more testing and Dynamic Lighting does actually work. It's just barely noticeable though. Something seems different this time around. Can't quite place my finger on it. I did also update drivers so that may be a factor. /shrug
I would assume that it's something that we will see diminish with each new iteration down the line.
Admiral Quinn's Office is soo bad that all the NPC's need sunglasses so as not to go blind and SF Academy has several spots where the new lighting is just washing out the walls and floor.
And the fountains outside are so bad, they look like frozen water and the ponds look like sanded blocks of Lucite.
I haven't even gone beyond the Sol System cause many of the stars in the game are so bright I can't see my ship when I get close to them.
