There is a part of the ARC 'My Profile' that is supposed to tally how much time you have spent playing the game, and that goes towards your progression of earning a Captian's Shuttle.
My ticker, or tally, has been stuck on 16 days and 16 hours for a couple years now, anyone know of a solution to this?
All of my Delta Recruitment work for unlocks seems to be lost, I get a 'must unlock this first with your Delta character' (paraphrasing) message, yet the character is unrecognized to unlock/acquire said items. Anyone else have this issue or a fix to it?
Is there anything we players can do to help alleviate all the server outages and disconnects STO has?
Seriously, I'd chip in to a 'new server' fund if I thought it would get results.
I dread thinking what might occur when XBox and PS4 players come into the mix.
Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.

So this is the same account that your Delta Recruit belongs to? Did the Delta Recruit complete the actions before and claim the rewards? Do you still have the Delta Recruit or did you delete that character?
How many other outages have you encountered in the last 3 months? I'm having a hard time thinking of any though launch day for TOS and the first day of Risa hit the server hard with so many extra players using it.
The consoles will be running on separate servers. The only time in recent memory where I experienced a server outage was last night when the server went down. Other than that, I don't remember any outages with the exception of earlier this year when Cryptic's server was under a DDoS attack (Distributed Denial of Service) for 2 or 3 weeks. Basically Cryptic fixed some type of exploit in NeverWinter that some players were benefiting from. Well, that pissed off one player and he / she decided to pay a hacker group to launch an attack on Cryptic's servers with virus infected PCs around the world to constantly "ping" Cryptic's serves so that virtually no one can access the server.
There are really no effective ways to defend against DDoS attacks. Having multiple servers (which can get pretty expensive) can be a way to lessen the effect of DDoS attacks unless those servers are also attacked.
If I remember correctly, time playing, whether sub or not, was supposed accumulate, and when you have reached a certain amount, you earn the Captian's Shuttle. As a Sub, I think you are automatically approved for it. Not something I often think of, except when we have an event like the other night when I cannot log on, and go to the Forums instead.
I am not a Sub because I just missed the July-Aug discount, depending on work and other things I am active and then inactive for months at a time. Eventually I will catch the offer and subscribe as it pays for itself over time and the ingame benifits would be worth it. But 100 bucks is 100 bucks so it will wait.
As for the outs and disconnects, as luck would have it, the last break I took from the game came shortly after they were having issues, maybe ten months ago? I recall it being a major annoyance, it was a heavily discussed topic on the forums at that time as well.
Also, the outage is one thing the disconnects is something that has always been inherent in the game it seems, typically when 'zoning' out of a combat/team scenario. Some days its not an issue, and those are what are probably low traffic days... which lends to the idea noted by Jaguarskx who posted after you... that more than one server would probably alleviate much of that, as traffic could be directed to whichever server had a low gamer count... rather than the server 'kicking' players or 'forcing' turnover.
Anyways was just wondering about a couple of things, didn't see them noted in the searches I did, so thought I would ask about them. The server question was more snark than anything. Don't get me wrong, STO is an awesome game, even/especially considering its play for free, though I have put some real money into it, buying ships mostly, I felt it was a fair way to 'do my part' to keep it going. Didn't mean the post to come across as whining.
For monthly gold subscribers to have subscribed for 400 days get the captains yacht (as seen on Star Trek Insurrection), and Lifetime subscribers get it too.
But for Silver level players/Free to play, there are no rewards or time playing goals.
Ah, thanks, that sounds right.
Correct. Your play time only counts towards rewards as long as you pay a subscription. The counter (the relevant one is in your billings section, not in arc, steam or in-game) stops once you stop paying.
