What this game is lacking / can be improved upon

First of all, as a long time lifetime subscriber, this game has provided me hours of enjoyment. It is much better than it was when it first came onto the scene in 2010. With that being said, this game is lacking a few things that most other MMOs have: character creation, high end content and a diverse PVP base.

Character creation is a bit weird. Tactical has attack patterns, Engineers has miracle worker, and Science has subnucleonic debuffs. I know characters are supposed to play a role such as damage dealer, healer/tank, and harasser/buffer. They should be abilities instead of locked into a specific career mode. You should provide them as character abilities to be chosen during creation. Just my opinion but you could provide these abilities to the trait tree and each career type provides bonuses to specific traits. For instance, miracle worker would work the same for an engineer, but provide less effect for the other careers.

Once you get to level 60 you have the STFs. I would equate the STFs to a dungeon in other MMOs. There are varying difficulties for the STFs which provide a challenge to players. However, there is no large group raiding option. This game is geared more for the PvE crowd than the PvP crowd. It is confusing why you have not developed a series of high end raids for people in fleets. You have not created a LFM queue for the average player who isn't in a large fleet for raiding as well. The 20 man Fleet Actions were nice. However, they have not been that active. Hopefully this will be rectified.

PvP content and balance is severely lacking. I remember back in the day Klingons were the king of PvP. I haven't PvPd in a long time because of the balance issues. I'm a Fed player mostly. Klingons would spam the board with pets and trash. I did PvP to break the monotony of the PvE grinding. If you're intending to launch this game onto the console world, you will need to fix the PvP gameplay. Consoles are all about PvP.

As a long time player, I hope you take this advice and eventually work some of these suggestions into future updates. I used to play other MMOs and got bored with them when they started dumbing down the game and nerfing classes instead of raising up the other classes to match.

    Fed human customization could use some forehead and nose options for any of those Players who want to be part alien.

    they did. you cannot get attack pattern b3 unless you spec deep into engineering. as a tac you can spec deep into any of the three trees. I think it is as close to being able to switch career tracks as you can get
