Time for cross faction team up?

In the Long Story arc Fed/KDF and Romulans have at times been enemies but a lot of them also allied. The same goes for the TV series.
Therefore it would be justified to be able to Team up with member of a different faction to help out with missions.
TV Series:
Picard helped Gowron to become chancellor
Klingons helped the Enterprise against Romulans when they crossed the neutral Zone
Klingons helped in the search of Spock by bringing Picard to Romulus
why would this be nice in the game?
There are some items which are easily obtainable for one side but not for the other - like a fire extinguisher - or until some time ago the rebreathers.
There are also accolate collectors who would want to get some accolates that are only obtainable for one side.
No one would be forced to Team up - I just like the possibility...

The devs are aware of this request as well. However, i think there are multiple story missions on each factions arcs that should not be teamed by multiple factions. I will need to check which podcast or post it was, but the devs said something in regards to story missions and cross faction teaming. Dont remember what it was, but im leaning towards they said "NO" and then listed some reasons for not having it story side.
Teaming up normally without a private queue for queue missions, i think they want to do that. However, finding the time and resources is difficult for them considering what they have going on.
Don't worry, the KDF will be Starfleet soon enough.
