First of all, I just want to say that I love the story that Star Trek Online tells, and I am greatly enjoying the Agents of Yesterday expansion.
I've had a nagging question in the back of my mind for a long time about the mission "Midnight" which brings the Iconian War to its climax. Specifically, it regards one detail of what happens to Captain Kagran and his ship on Iconia when he arrives on the planet before the player character. He arrives a mere few days or weeks before the player character.
My question is this. Why did you make Captain Kagran's stay among the Iconians so brief? From a writer's perspective, Kagran's experience would have been far more compelling if the Klingon crew had spent years among the Iconians waiting for the rest of the Alliance contingent to show up.
"I have spent decades with these people and have raised two generations here. I trust these people with the lives of my grandchildren." said by a grizzled ancient Kagran would be a lot more compelling than "I've spent a couple weeks among these people and I think I know them well enough to trust they are honorable."
It would not have affected any other part of the story to have made Kagran and the crew of his ship live among the Iconians for a very long time, and in my opinion would support the rest of the existing story even better than just a fortnight on Iconia.
Sorry if I seem critical, and I do not intend to be mean in any way. It's just that from the perspective of someone that enjoys stories and storytelling, I would not have passed up the opportunity for such a profound and emotionally charged experience to happen to one of my characters.
Please discuss this politely, and if one of the writers for the game would like to pop in to explain things, that would be great, too!

Sure it would.
It's called the "observer effect".
