As much as I hate to post this here, I didn't know how else to report it.
The Boff bug is an old one, but it looks like people are now using it to get free dilithium and xp points.
There were two players here, both were standing still. All others with the exception of my own character in the bottom right are boffs, camping and waiting for enemies to spawn.
Comments
Because the players just set their boffs to aggressive and go afk while the boffs kill everything and reap the rewards.
before you were get chance to get quest updated.
must be something the mobs drop the loots.
I didn't even know one could bring BOff's to Defera.

You can't, legitimately, that's the exploit...
I'm pretty sure me and my boffs have been to Defera together (there are several missions there). As for exploits, I don't think I even understand the nature of said exploit, but if there is one, let it be fixed!
If you solo a medium to hard level mission, without a team, your Boffs will spawn with you.
However, you can go back to the easy ones, and they kind of hang around with you.
At least you can go to other spots to complete the city mediums but if a jerk running a main followed by 4 alts starts the temple hard mission, you are forced to wait 4-5 min for it to complete.
short story long defera has been broken for ages, and, like andoria, will probably NEVER be fixed
Andoria was supposed to be a pvp duel map, anyone in the hostile zone should be a target, but it doesn't work, and challenging a player creates a separate map entirely
Mwahahahahahahaha
i have seen it few times, on few other games i played.
remember 2001/2002 when they have "SIK" script locator/alert system, SIK is Sturdy Iron Key is one of old outdated key for tier 6 rare spell scrolls.
so some of players find several ways to upgrade loot detector scripts for auto-pick ups.
solution would be a new zone for missions, a single spawns, no respawn zone. once cleared, no new sets of spawns.
i have found few locations with endless spawns, and that not good.
It is so old, I remember I used to know how...but it has long left my memories. Only thing I remember was: take your Bat'leth.

AoY chars get 1 dil for every kill as long as the recruitment event lasts. This is, however, pretty damn ineffective to let a bot do so since as already pointed out, doing literally anything else gives you more dilithium. Doing a CCA which takes like a minute these days pays out 720 dil. That's 720 enemies ground kills worth in one minute.

How does one set one's BOFFs to aggressive?
Farming SIKs was the least of Asheron's Call's botting problems.
It's pretty much this hard to keep just one timeline intact. ♪
It's one of the little buttons at the top of the Away team list. They're in a Passive mode by default, but you can click another button that makes them Aggressive and they'll attack anything in range. Might even be the same button, it's been a while since I did content with bridge officers involved.
Nothing else you can be completely AFK for, letting a botting program do all the work for you.
You call that A LOT? Oh boy you can get 100X doing the old fashion way and just play the real admiralty on alternates. Why there are so many crybabies in this game that called everything an "exploit"? Not sure how can this be called as such. Anyways, the event ends in a few more days and these cry babies will have something else to cry about...
Which is why I didn't post any details on how to get those boffs there. I merely pointed out the existence of an exploit, not how to use it.
Oh and @storules amounts are irrelevant. An exploit is an exploit, regardless of how big the rewards are. And I will report them, always.
You've earned my respect btw. Resorting to name-calling makes you so much better than these cry babies you seem to be seeing somewhere.
Yes, that was sarcasm.
