so much lot of stf so low of really avalable to play ....

hello!
i´m playing STO for a few years. The game has changed since i started to play it and is really a good game.
At first have only a handfuld of STF both ground and space, and almost all always have people to play it in one way or another, but now, we have lot of it a really lot of both space and ground, but...but only a handful are likely to be available because simply people don't play it if you can't have a few friends to mount a group to do it. so, what about of somethinh like an event that rewards doing stf that usually aren't played? an event like that of dilithium, upgrade, R&D and so on, in a way that rewards some stf, for an example, a weekend that rewards doing groud borg stf, another that rewards the space borg and so on.
I think that that will encourage to do that stf that, for now, aren't almost abandoned
Thanks to all and have fun and long life.

(sorry if i write something wrong, my englilsh isn't very good for now)

Every once in a while a couple of the STFs do get special events with special rewards. Most notably the Crystalline Entity and the Mirror universe invasion will get a 14 day rep grind for special rewards once or twice a year. Earlier this year The Breach also go a special event attached to it with the 6 year anniversary.

I agree with you though. I wish it happened more often and with more STFs.

We need rolling que events, like every weekend play X que that's usually dead, for double dilithium or double marks or something.

Speaking of number of marks won, this is also a big problem i think. People don't play most ques because the investment is not worth the reward. There should be some kind of scaling reward system that tracks the play where if it takes 5 minutes, 30 marks are awarded, 10 minutes, 50, 20 minutes 100, etc. Then double everything for advanced, triple it for elite. That's just off the top of my head, but I know I'd feel like the que was worth spending more time in, if I knew I'd get more reward for the longer missions. Or when it proves difficult for a team.

Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

Issue with the idea of equating time spent in a stf to finish it with how much marks you get, is that people might just exploit that by afking till they get the max amount. To me I think that the mark reward for a stf should be based on the difficulty you are on specifically, while the number of elite marks should be determined by the number of optional objectives you get, though I will say that each different stf should have stf specific gear drops an rewards that can be obtained outside the marks you get. Another possibility could be a rep-linked mission you can obtain to either complete a specific rep=specific stf, or even a group of rep-specific stfs, which could give more marks an even rep-specific drop rewards for completing it based on what you had to do.

I definitely agree we could use a rolling line-up of available public ques we can choose from, which could funnel players into different stfs to experience them during times the other ones are not available.

If you pug queues, yes, most are "deserted". Join a fleet, most fleets schedule queue runs regularly. If not, find a better/more active fleet.

Edit: True enough, there isn't much incentive to play some queues as they do not offer anything unique other than the mission itself.

As good of advice as this is, still over looks something. Which is not everyone is in, or wants to be in a fleet, while also wants to always run with fleetmates. Also this should not take away from efforts or even suggestions to make the public ques more lively and evenly populated.

Perhaps so, but if one wants to run random queues regularly, joining a fleet is by far the easiest option. It is a multiplayer game (and mission) after all. (finding a good fleet that does so regularly, is another matter).

Agreed too: somekind of queue reward rotation might liven things up a bit. Queue of the day or something?

I think the solution to all the dead queues is either:

    1) Preferred As many, many people have suggested some sort of "event" weekend featuring different queues each time for increased rewards.
Something like the old hourly events but increased to a weekend to allow a larger number of players to participate.

    or:

    2) some sort of rolling increased rewards that changes each hour based on the least popular queue the previous hour. They have the metrics so this could surely be possible. Have the game assess the number's playing each queue and pick a random one from the bottom few to double the rewards.

    or:

    3) Least attractive but unfortunately the least work for the devs Remove some of the queues that are utterly devoid of life to thin the number available. Maybe a variation on this is only have queues available for a set period of time and a rotation of what is available.

You can increase rewards all you want till the cows come home but as long as there's still the likes of ISA or CCA to earn rewards in mere seconds then players will gravitate towards the path of least resistance and other queues will stay dead.

What about a running "Double Rewards" weekend. Each weekend would feature a different stf (the most current reputation would be exempt)

+ 1. Double everything, for only one, or maybe only the ques that reward a single reputation, for one weekend at a time.
