Can't figure out this CXP week bonus - Dev comment? Trendy?

On my new aoy toon I have 250 hard working purple doffs. They are working around the clock on high CXP rewarding doff missions. I have been able to get some levels to 3 already. Mostly science and medical with the huge research missions. That is a massive move in such a short time. Also using CXP boosters.

Dev's I have a problem. how is the progress bar calculating the progress. After this colossal doffing effort I have managed to get to 61% of Tier one!!!! How the heck do you get anywhere close to the other tiers by Thursday? Since only aoy toons can contribute to progress.

Am I missing something?

Anyone doing better? Anyone actually care? Lol.

I think it only calculates by finishing/collecting DOff assignments. Meaning that the best way to advance it would be to just complete fast assignments, not high rewarding ones.

Exactly, the meter only counts completed doff missions... not the amount those missions reward individually. In the case of this event, faster missions being done is more beneficial.

This is a global event, meaning that you're merely contributing. You have not managed to get the bar up to 61%, the community did. That being said it seems like the devs set the tiers a little bit too high. We won't even reach tier one if it continues to progress this slowly.

The progress bar was broken last week and probably still broken.

The Tier is not too high. I guess its the same like for Delta Recruits last time.
Guess what is it then? My Tip: the community shrunk.

That would also explain high dil prices on exchange - less new players

It's more likely people are hoarding dil since an upgrade weekend is coming, and have also already used a bunch of dil on their new Temporal Recruits for upgrades and for fleet credits.

I think since we maxed tier 3 of the xp event on day one they probably adjusted their numbers accordingly for this event, which clearly isn't getting the participation the first event had. I personally never run doff missions, I hate that and the admiralty system.

Exactly this, loads of people made an AoY toon and played through what little missions that were available, after they realized there's hardly any content a majority of them have stopped playing or gone back to their old characters.

Methinks the developers have massively overestimated the player retention.

Players may well be skipping doffing and admiralty.

That I doubt, I see TOS outfits in the 25th C everywhere now.

How do we know that the Tier is not too high? At a minimum, most players interested in doing assignments should be able to do about 100 assignments during the event. Have 100 people doing that and it would be 10,000 assignments done. Obviously there is far more than just 100 people doing 100 assignments. If the meter is working properly, then the devs must have set the meter too high based on how fast last week's meter was filled up according to the devs.

Although, considering that the first event was filled in the first day and the meter was broken, then the same thing could be happening now. We might have already exceeded the amount, but only showing Tier 0 or Tier 1. So either the meter is broken or the devs set the meter too high.

This is a face palm event. Am I to understand that it is based on Fleet participants? That is just plain stupid. Doffing has always been a solo thing. So if I am a big doffer and the only one in my fleet to doff, then I am being penalized by this events set up. And also not to tie it to total CXP earned is another face palm. Good doffers will pick the best missions. Where is the rules of this event spelled out? Or is that another face palm from the Dev's? Sorry just really bugged by this as a long time doffer.

yes, it's not as popular as regular experience and playing missions. however, they have been struggling always with their estimates. they have over adjusted from the last week's day 1 completion and set the bar a little high. I will be VERY surprised, however, if we fail to make tier 1. I'll actually be impressed if the bar doesn't suddenly speed tomorrow and wednesday.
