Maybe the Pah-Wraiths controlled the wormhole then? then Leeta being Leeta became the Emissary ( or whatever title is appropriate) later on?
No, because when we return the mirror orb to the mirror universe temple on Bajor, it is the prophets we interact with... and they do not appear to be in any way different from the prime universe prophets... which I find interesting.
The Prophets never opened the wormhole because there was never an emissary in the MU since all the Terrans were evil and the prophets never associated with them.
Raises an interesting question - the mirror universe's Sisko. I'm assuming if the prophets were not as involved with the Bajorans etc, does that mean that Sisko came about from a non prophet instigated conventional relationship between Joseph and Sarah Sisko in that timeline? In some ways, I hope so... because it helps reconcile the prophets view of the necessity of a Sisko who must always fulfill his duty in every timeline... with the fact that he's actually dead in the MU.
Once people got hold on something
whetter it is power
or a large piece of diamond
most of the time you wont get it back
ever
not even after long long time
Whetu, eh? And Leeta's rebelled against the Emperor, launching a campaign of conquest... this could be interesting...
Or in otherwords, she's doing a Mirror Hoshi. Which I don't find all that interesting to be honest.
Not quite. If I had to make such comparisons, I'd use Archer instead - though whether she is scheduled for a similar betrayal is difficult to determine. The 'interesting' part is mostly 'I have no idea what ingame effect this will have but I'm guessing it'll be fun'.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
I honestly like Cryptic's little fiction pieces. They let us see things going on in points of space-time our characters won't visit, and their writing quality is a bit higher than the in-game writing - sometimes much higher.
Leeta is one of our current main antagonists. I wonder where this leads.
prime universe leeta-chan is crazy too, for marrying rom lol xD
Hey...
Different strokes for different folks.
(or Aliens, in this particular case)
Even Quark thought it was a bit strange.

TBH, annoying as M-Leeta is, imagine if the next villain (or even the emperor) is M-Wesley... Does the prime universe even have enough facepalms, or will we need to go asking the Jar-Jar-'verse um Kelvin Universe for some extras?

A growl of frustration echoed through the translucent walls of the design project room. Lieutenant Whetu’s PADD clattered off the table as she flung it with annoyance. She paced back and forth, her loose black hair’s disarray reflecting her unhappiness in a very human display of pique.
“Another blown plasma manifold in the Hestia’s engine assembly! They’re going to bust me down to crewman and have me scrubbing the conduits at this rate,” Whetu said despondently.
“They’re not going to bust you down. At least, not before the project ends,” said Elyos. Even with his most impassive voice, as he lounged back in his seat the bald Deltan couldn’t help but project the hint of a smirk in his comment. “After all, there’s still a little bit of time before launch of the prototype.”

I've heard that Wheaton is uninterested in Trek participation. STO still needs a new evil nerd, after the Undine sacked the last one.

Nah, it's just that he hates Wesley Crusher, he LIKES Star Trek.

Wheaton: Today I could go to Star Trek Online and I could command a star ship of my own.
Shatner: Really? They have that?
Wheaton: I could have missions, I could have a crew, I could go on on on these things that.... And I'm really involved in it. It's super meaningful to me.
Shatner: Wow.
Wheaton: And it hits you on an emotional level.
Shatner: So you have this whole other life?
Wheaton: Yea.
Nah...She's speaking of the Mirror Husnock. Why do I say this?
1) They already have a ship designed to turn into a lockbox ship or whatnot.
2) ST:O pretty much always uses loose ends from various episodes to make new plots.
3) They were defined as a strong, aggressive race.

There wasn't a first contact though. The husnock were spotted and then exterminated, but never actually met the federation. It would be an interesting choice, and you have three solid points in favor of it. But I will also point out she said races plural, not race singular.
Technically the Husnock DID encounter the Federation. They pissed off Kevin Uxbridge by blowing up the Federation colony he lived in. It is true that there was no formal First Contact though.

I actually think Cryptic should give Star Trek alumni a free lifetime account and allow them to play as either their character or a character who is reminiscent of the one they played. They wouldn't be "forced" to play it, but their character and starship helm would be there, ready, should they ever wish to take up the gauntlet.
So if the Mirror universe is the next big arc, does that mean we'll get Mirror Recruits next year? Complete with an all new micro -campaign like the TOS one but set in the MU, of course.

I know new content is always a given, but they're so many bugs ingame atm, can't a good amount of maintenance be done, before we go on to the next shiny?
