Kelvin Timeline Constitution Class: why T6?

I've got no problem with the Kelvin Timeline Dreadnought being a T6; that is, after all, its concept: a warship amped up to the limits of what technology can pack into it. But why is the Constitution Class a T6? Oughtn't it be comparable to the 25th-century Constitution Class? (Other than, you know, STO's aversion to producing any new ships that aren't T6…)

Because this constitution class ship is a product of the accelerated technological evolution that resulted from Nero's interference with the timeline.

If you think a ship's age plays a role into what tier it should be, it never has in this game after a point years and years ago

Before the idea of T6 even existed, we had ENT era ships at T5 that predate even the Federation. Vulcan D'Kyr, Andorian Escorts, the Romulan T'Varo (which is older than the TOS T'Liss, but you can't play the newer T'Liss at endgame).

Before T6, the old T5 Excelsior was still kicking much TRIBBLE before Power Creep overtook her. The KDF has at T5 a Fleet K'T'Inga/D7.

At T6, the Excelsior has made it there, as well as the ENT-era T'Varo, etc.
