I'm going to buy the Chronos Temporal Dreadnaught Cruiser as its likely the closest I'll get to an Orion Flight Deck, and I was wondering what do you think would be a really cool build for it?

Right now I'm think about Elite Orion Slavers in the hangar, and Lt. Tac/Temporal or Sci/Temporal officer in the Lt. Uni slot.

I've got scramble Fighters, Reactive Repair Nanities, Coordenated Assault, and I'd end up with the Exotic Particle Star Ship Trait as well.

Its got AMAZING stats, you can literally choose from every single power in Tac, Sci, Eng, Temp, as you have a Commander Eng/Temp, both Sci and Tac Lt. Commanders, a Lt. Uni/Temporal, and an Eng Ensign, but I don't know what I want in them aside from one BO I, Cannon Rapid Fire, Attack Pattern Beta, and either Engineering Team II or III (I ready have the doffs to really make the most of them), and Feedback Pulse.

I wish I knew what kind of ship materals you get to choose from on the Chronos.

So far I'm thinking of for Boff powers:

Temporal/Engineer Commander: Channeled Deconstruction, Entropic Cascade, Rapid Decay, Recursive Shearing

Tactical Lt. Commander: Beam Overload, Cannon Rapid Fire, Attack Pattern Beta.

Science Lt. Commander: Science Team, Energy Siphon, Feedback Pulse

Lt Temporal/Tactical: Casual Reversion, Gravimetrec Conversion II

    Ensign Engineer: Engineering Team

This gives me 4 healing Boff powers, Engineering Team, Science Team, Casual Reversion, Gravimetric Conversion, plus the healing from Molecular Deconstruction Beam, the ability to buff incoming hull healing thanks to defencive configuration, and the healing from chronotachyon console, and the Gorn Repair Platform console.

It gives me several sci, tac and temporal damaging powers Channeled Deconstruction, Enthropic Casade, Feedback pulse, Rapid Decay, Recursive Shearing, Beam Overload, Cannon Rapid Fire.

    One shield drain, Gravitmetric Conversion.

    A Energy boosting/stealing ability
    Energy Siphon

2 Hull Damage Resistence Removing powers, Attack Pattern Beta and Rapid Decay.

    What do you guys think?

I have not gotten around to those 31st cent Temporal Ships but that Dread does look quite flexible. The BOFF & Console layout is flexible, i.e. 3 SCI Console slots "for the meta" instead of the typical TAC Cruiser with 2 SCI Console Slots.

    Of note:
The SCI Command Battlecruiser and T6 SCI Bortasqu' don't give you a LtCmdr TAC station. The SCI Command Battlecruiser also lacks Weapon System Efficiency Cruiser Command, which the Chronos has.

The Qib, T6 Negh'Var are traditional TAC Battle Cruisers and do not offer a LtCmdr SCI option.

The T6 Mogh can let you get a LtCmdr SCI station but you have a whopping 2 SCI Console Slots. HOWEVER, using the LtCmdr UNIV for SCI severely limits your Intel ability access because the Intel Hybrid Station is on the LtCmdr TAC. I know many guys would turn white at the notion of giving up the Mogh's tactical ability.

The Chronos offers quite a bit of everything in a nice, convenient package.

I'd imagine a simple TAC Cruiser with GW access to help in CC would be insanely easy to implement. The big thing I haven't seen however are the Temporal BOFF abilities. I like Intel quite a bit for general purpose TAC Cruiser play. Command is a godsend for Torp Boating. But I don't know what Temporal offers so far.

Temporal is like Sci kind of, with a mix of Exotic Damage, Healing, debuffing, and CC powers, but with the twist that damage is usually physical damage against the hull, and that it utilizes the Entropy mechanic, so you want to mix Entropy building powers and then use Enthropy consuming powers, so its a bit of resource management.

So if you go all into Temporal powers in your Commander and Lt. uni Slots, then it'll feel more like a Sci Cruiser, beyond any other sci cruisers, with good Tactical power. In fact the Temporal Specialization actually discribed as a Sci leaning, so between a Temporal Commander, Lt. Commander Sci, and a Lt. Temp/Uni, and a star ship trait that gives a large boost to exotic damage, and a special innate beam weapon that can disable the target, it may feel more like the Annorax Science Dreadnaught, then a cruiser, except for the Cruiser Commands instead of Sensor Analysis, extra weapon slots, no innate target subsystems. Fly mostly in Support Configuration. Go with Elite Interceptors, Elite Tachyon Drones, or Elite Power Siphon Drones for a more Sci Feel.

Of course that's one option, if you like your Cruisers Engineering Heavy, you could ignore the Temporal Powers, just take Engineering powers in your Commander and Lt. Uni slots, for something more like the Galaxy/Yousi X experience. Fly it mostly in Defence Configuration. Stick Armoured Shield Repair Shuttles or Armoured Marauding Force Shuttles on it for even more of an Engineering focus. This should give it more of a traditional Engineering feel.

Or go with a second Tac Officer in your uni, and a mix of the most damage/tactical Temporal/Engineering powers for your Commander (like rapid decay which is like damage dealing APB, but decreases damage resistance more the APB), stick on a bunch of RCS consoles, and a bunch of DHCs, and fly it mostly in Offence Configuration for the extra speed, turn rate, and more damage from your Deconstruction Beam. With its good 9.5 innate turn rate, its becomes basically a Battle Cruiser with a Hangar. Go with Elite Orion Slavers, Elite Scorpians, Elite Swarm Drones, or Elite Stingers, or Elite To'duj Fighters for a more tac feel.

Or mix any of the three choicses. Or go in another direction entirely. Each of those three basic build ideas are broad and can focus on different things, like a sci build can focus on a strong mix of healing/damage resistance powers from Sci, Tac, Eng, Temp, or focus on CC powers, or focus on Exotic Damage. A Tac Quasi Battle Cruiser build could focus on a DHC build, a BFAW build, or Torpedo Boat build (loading up Tachyon Drones in your Hangar would be good for this).

This beasts really does seem like its the combined efforts of the Klingon Empire & Vessels States, Feds, and Romulans, maybe more races, as this beast can rock almost any role. A crazy amount of choices. Its has access to every power in the Eng, Tac, Sci, and Temporal professions.

What other ship has this much flexiblity? Even BoPs with all those universals aren't this flexible as they don't have the Hull and Shield points for it.

I found out the details about the Temporal Powers from the thread on the tribble subforum, where the Temporal Specialization Boff powers were discussed.

And I found out which levels were avialable at which ranks for various powers from Star Trek wiki, which has a chart for them, but no discription yet.

"Command is a godsend for Torp Boating."

Temporal Boffs have a couple of shield stripping powers and Rapid Decay decreases damage resistance, and their are several powers that deal direct to hull damage, and the Chronos has up to 5 Tac Boff powers on top of that, so I think its pretty good for a Torpedo Boat builds. As I said I'd use Elite Tachyon Drones if you have access to them if you going for a Torpedo boat build, as it gets the shields out of the way. Maybe toss in a regular Sci Tachyon Beam boff power on it too, and make sure you have good skills in Torpedoes and Shield Draining.

There is cool synergy between the Reactive Repair Nanite Trait that I got from the Breen Carrier and the Chronos.

When its comsole is activated not only does it draw fire away from your pets, but directed energy damage causing hull healing, which if you have Reactive Repair Nanites slotted, means each time your Chronos is hit by energy damage, you both both yourself and your pets!

Also Defence Configure boosts all your incoming healing, which in turn amplifies the hull healing your Reactive Repair Nanites do to your pets.

And when you fire you Molecular Deconstruction Beam, it heals your hull, which means with Reactive Repair Nanites your Molecular Deconstruction Beam heals your pets.

So I'm thinking the future "dream" Torp Boat would have access to Temporal & Command BOFF abilities. Intel has some very powerful resist debuffers, i.e. Ionic Turbulence, but it's kind of wonky against moving targets. Of course, Dual Spec Access ships are only going to be Premium Ships because none of those types are C-Store / Faction ships. Anyways, does the Physical damage done by Temporal abilities get boosted by any skillbox, i.e. Exotic Particle Generator Skill?

There's a lot of new stuff added that I have yet to get wrapped around. A bit hard between working up the new AOY character as well as getting Temporal Rep Marks/Tokens on my 2 senior most characters.

I think they get boosted by anything that boosts either exotic or physical damage.
