The ability to purchase and fly the Kelvin Timeline Intel Dreadnought Cruiser [T6] will be restricted only to Federation characters. However, Klingon and Romulan captains will instead be offered the ability to purchase a Kelvin Dreadnought Package from the Lobi Store which includes both the Console and the Starship Trait unlock for a lower price than that of the full starship.

Not that I would buy one anyway, but really?

it is something released by cryptic and the the rest it probably scarred them for life having to make that much kdf and rom stuff for one thing.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

That's why they put that stuff behind a lockbox to express their feelings on the KDF.

It is almost surprising that the Narada is not in the lockbox and the devs created a new Romulan Kelvin Universe ship for the new lockbox. So either the Narada will be a C-Store ship or Cryptic will introduce it as a Tier 6 Tal Shiar Adapted ship just like they did with the Tholian and Temporal Lockboxes with the Tarantula and Paradox. The Cardassian, Voth, Hirogen, and Undine don't have Tier 6 ships so the Narada could be paired up with one of them for the next lockbox.

What is really disappointing is that Romulans and Klingons only get one ship and a Starship Trait/Console package instead of 2 new ships. The price on the Lobi Store should be less than half the price of the Vengeance to compensate for this

    Remember:
The Narada was a unique ship; a Romulan starship of some kind, modified heavily by Borg technology. We only ever saw it after its severe adaptations, never the base craft itself.
Considering this T'Laru class has a mining laser device, it can be reasonably assumed that this is the same class of vessel the Narada itself was before the Borg enhancements.
It can also be reasonably assumed that the T'Laru is a far more contemporary design than the other ships in the box, as it not only came from the same universe STO takes place in, but roughly 20-30 years ago, too.

The reason we saw Adapted Warbirds to begin with was because Hakeev, inspired by Nero, was mass-modifying ships in his fleets. We're likely not going to see Narada-style Adapted T'Laru's, though, because of this.

The Narada is one of the iconic ships of the new Star Trek movies. The T'Laru was built for reconnaissance and striking deep behind enemy lines. The Narada was originally a mining vessel that was upgraded with Borg technology so they are two different types of ships, one military and the other civilian with the only connection being a mining drill laser. If we already have 2 Tal Shiar Adapted ships, then we can have another. It just depends on whether Cryptic wants to release it in the C-Store due to the lack of a Romulan Carrier or if it will be in a future lockbox as the Tier 6 version of the Tal Shiar Adapted ships available to everyone.

The Narada was a Romulan mining ship. Keyword there. Who's to say that they don't make their mining ships to different standards than the Federation's? Their warbirds are already far more flexible than the Federation's or the KDF's ships by and large. Maybe their simple "mining ships" are also capable of recon and intel gathering. In fact, those are actually perfectly aligned with a mining vessel's missions of mineral speculation and analysis, if you think about it.

But for all intents and purposes, the T'Laru is more than likely supposed to be the ship that the Narada was. Doesn't take too many deductive leaps in logic to see that.

Also, again: the Borg modifications are actually pretty "illegal", which is why we're probably only going to get the base version of the T'Laru for now.
Does this mean we may or may not see an "assimilated T'Laru" someday? Who knows. For now, you'll have to deal with simply adding the Borg set visuals to your T'Laru if you get one.

The real kick in the nuts here is that... in this expansion, the only legitimate KDF and Romulan ships we get are from a GD MF lockbox.

    What a f***ing d*** move. Jeezus.

Also, KDF/Roms will probably be screwed by the economy as well, since there are far fewer of us, the prices of our lockbox goods will probably be highly inflated, too.

I found it kinda worrying that we have a fed only lobi ship for this lockbox, but there is a possibility that we might get a romulan an then a KDF only lobi ships later on. Like seeing the Narada being the lobi ship for the later lockboxes.

Good thing I made use of the Zen promotions last night, moving a bunch of keys so I should be good to go for the launch

I am really pissed at PWE/Cryptic at this moment and will be closing my wallet to them at this moment forward. The gamblers can help them pay their bills from now on.
