AOY Question for Tac players

If you activate Security Escort (the Captain ability) will you get the usual current era batch of security guards or the TOS themed security guards?

If I had to guess, you'll get the 2409/2410 security guards. You don't get security escort until level 34, and the TOS era stuff ends before level 10 for TOS captains. As for getting TOS era security guards during mission replay, probably not, since your regular characters don't for the Dividian missions where you go to the TOS era.

Its not actually a TOS faction, after lvl 10 youll forget it exists.

I'd like to know this as well, When you do tricorder scan on a TOS toon it busts out a TOS tricorder, aslo the beam in / out effect is TOS... so I would imagine that things like security escort or orbital strike for engies would be updated as well. I believe confirmation on this would be needed as it's not very cut and dry.

This stuff might actually deter me from starting a TOS toon if it doesnt switch over to normal Fed.

Im thinking i may just start one to get the temporal recruit rewards then delete it.

But ill ignore the TOS aspect and pretend he is in 24/25th century.
