Hand weapons only fire 'three-way'

simongeakesimongeake Member Posts: 3 Arc User
While on away missions, my hand weapon - whatever I choose - only has the option to fire three ways, which means it can hit three targets in one go. But it takes so long to recharge that I would prefer to have one way firing. How do I change it so I get that option? Please help, it's annoying!

I'm guessing you're using a Split-Beam Rifle? If so, they have a single-target firing mode as well as the three-way shot you mentioned.

If you don't have that in your power tray, try looking in the Powers window (default key [P]) and scrolling down to where "B" is - the powers are listed alphabetically, so it should be fairly easy to find. Once you find that firing mode, simply drag and drop into your ability tray.

I'll have to see what it's listed as myself, but that should cover your issue. :)

you can tried using 2 Copies of the gun you are using ( both equiped)
you secondary fire one gun and then quickly switch to the other one gun ... LOL
it is bit stupid but it works a bit ( I just tried it )
    quite funny and lame

you can to look up "deadly intention" module that one is a bit more serious and pricy
if you want to reduce secondary firing mode in the future

Yeah, every energy weapon is supposed to give you a primary and secondary firing mode as well as 3rd option do a physical attack with the hilt.

A split beam pistol / rifle has a primary firing mode which fires a single beam and a secondary mode which fires 3 beams as you mentioned above. As mentioned above, press the "P" key to bring up your ground abilities and look through your available powers to find the primary firing mode so that you can drag it to your power bar.

The left most box in the 1st power bar row is for the left mouse, button (primary weapon mode), the next is for the right mouse button (secondary weapon mode), and the 3rd box would be for the physical attack.
