Has there been any confirmation that JJ verse Enterprise is coming to STO?
That the Moderators have largely given up on shutting down discussion of the leaks is maybe a sign. That the last four blogs have all been confirmation of rather precise details rather than surprises is another.
I try to reign in my enthusiasm since for something like that to happen involves somewhat complex licensing agreements that could blow up at any time prior to pulling the trigger. What they planned might not be what manifests. But either way I've got a stack of bills set aside to hand them IF it does come to pass. I'm also keeping my Annorax boxed in case I need it as trade bait.

Interesting, thanks for the reply.
But getting the new JJprise to STO would be so huge, but I can imagine how much money Cryptic would recieve if they will release all ships in lockbox.
My expectation is IF "Kelvin Timeline" lock box happens, we will see the grand-prize (~1:200) either be one of three boxed/packed-up ships based on the faction of the character opening the lock-box, or a single grand-prize box which gives a ship based on the faction of the character when opening the tradeable box. there's precedent either way in lock-box rewards. The Kelvin-timeline flagship-of-the-Federation Enterprise Class would be the Federation faction version of that outcome. And it will sell on the exchange for ALL THE MONIES. ALL. OF. THEM. Because it's a full bodied butt-kicking T6 that looks like a Constitution class ship. And don't kid yourself - they're gonna scale it to be slightly bigger than a Galaxy Class in this game, as per authorial intent.
People say it might then be able to wear a TOS constitution class skin but I REALLY doubt that. There's way, way too much money waiting to be taken by releasing that particular stuff-of-dreams some other way. And the biggest cash rake of all is to make it available several months after the AR Enterprise frenzy has blown through.
The Kelvin-Timeline Section 31 Intel Dreadnought Vengeance Class is likely either a super-grand-prize that you may get as an alternative to the lobi in the same fashion as the Acheros was made available in the Na'kuhl Lockbox (odds approx. 1:1000) -OR- it'll be a lobi store ship. Possibly the first to break 1,000 lobi.

I was a bit taken aback when I first saw it, but it has grown on me nicely.
Also, while the Vengeance is interesting, I've never really understood the reason for putting a big hole in the middle of the primary hull.
My guess is it has some strange thing to do with the sensor shadow of the ship. Also, it's not exactly your typical Starfleet design (after all, the Vengeance *IS* a Section-31 ship).
The Vengeance generates a toroidal warp field - so the hole in the saucer actually allows the "hole of the donut" to pass cleanly though the primary hull without a chunk of the ship getting left behind .
The Ranger runs a close seconds place. Looks like a proto-Miranda.

Holy krap, I never noticed that...

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."
None. Feddie ships are ugly with modern designs...with the 70s design, they are down right hideous. If they had some options for rommies or klinks, I would be somewhat interested...but feddie ships. I'll pass. Anything not the defiant is god ugly.
All things considered, I'm kinda surprised the devs didn't try to wing getting the Bonaventure class in-game, considering so many of their TOS-era ships highly resemble it in some way (the Perseus really just looks like a somewhat upside-down version of it).

The reason why is getting the Vesta, another fan design into the game was a nightmare and they'd rather avoid the licensing issues that come with things like that.

I figured that that played some part in it, but I'm a little surprised that it'd be anywhere near as difficult to acquire as the Vesta, as the latter is a much more prominent novel starship.

I don't see the resemblance...
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

The escort is growing on me the more I look at it. The Ranger is probably what I'll end up flying based on whether or not TOS-style versions of the other weapon types are available, but if they are, I'm going Perseus with the TOS skin all day every day.

Oh, that's really easy to explain. It should be obvious. See, it's like this ... wait! Look, is that a pink elephant over there? *runs away and hides*

Hypothetically, of course.
Because the Devil can hide in the corners of a square primary hull...???
