After the 06-15 patch my AoY have -1/-1 shields ... o.O

So ... logged in after the patch to go test the new Temporal shinies (Rainbow Bright is in the house) ... and noticed that my AoY captain & BOffs all have -1/-1 for shields.

Would that be a simple display bug or a 'feature' of them being AoY?
It doesn't matter what personal shields they have equipped ... they all are saying -1/-1 and have no shield bar.
It doesn't seem to be effecting my ground combat tho ... so the shields are really there and just not displaying?
Also ... my AoY captain still can't travel from Beta to Alpha by crossing the map - only by Trans-warping to a mission in the Alpha. Traveling from Alpha to Beta works fine tho.
