the late 1950's and part of 1960's hair styles.
the ladies wore those and they wore current style of late 1990/2000.
we havent got any newer or old classic hair style expanded in ages.

Bun 3 and bun 5 are close enough to look period-correct with the old TOS costumes already, several other existing styles fit quite well too.
