He kinda-sorta just confirmed what the rumor mill has been churning out for the last couple of months.

I like the photo of Hector Ortiz's workspace... and the Eaglemoss 2009 AR-style USS Enterprise proudly on display :). Just got my Eaglemoss USS Vengeance a few weeks ago and they are great figures (though it's missing the cut-outs at the roots of the pylons - pretty small detail though, hard to model, so I forgive them :))

If the JJ Universe ships are coming to STO, then they will likely be through some lockbox. It might even be the lockbox that is released with Agents of Yesterday. Might even be the way to get Tier 6 Constitution. Buy the Tier 1 TOS Constitution from the C-Store and get the JJ Universe Constitution from the JJ Universe Enterprise.

IMO, the most interesting thing about the article is how STO is going to try to integrate with the new series. They might go with full-blown stories from the new series, but more likely will involve adding the new ships and costumes to the game.

Actually, he talked around that a lot. What was said was that ships from the new series might be appearing. He sort of let the interviewer assume that included movie ships as well. Quite smoothly done, I thought.

No idea what the percentages are to get a approximate cost or which ship would be the Lockbox ship and what ship will be the Lobi ship. Depending on the percentages, it could require opening up only 1 lockbox or 1000 lockboxes based on luck. If it is a Lobi ship, then it will likely cost 900 or 1000 lobi. There is the Vengeance, Enterprise ships, the Klingon ship from Into Darkness, and the Narada. So either three of them will be in the Lockbox and 1 in the Lobi Store or there will be a faction-specific ship in the lockbox involving the Klingon ship, Narada, and the Vengeance or Enterprise with the other Starfleet ship being in the Lobi store. There is also the possibility that the Kelvin class ship will be the cheap Lockbox ship.
