I am disappointed that as a tactical captain, in order to maximize my damage output, I have to fill my bridge officer corps with Nausicaans in order to reap their +1.5% damage output. I have four Nausicaans and a Delta Quadrant BOFF who has the same modifier. I hope that, in the future, there are plans to enable other races to learn these modifiers so I can choose the officers I want to be on my bridge rather than being forced to have an all Nausicaan cadre.

Not even sure if Nausicaans stack - they did at one Point then again not...

- embassy Romulans
- R&D Krenim
- Nausicaan
- Delta rising Intel tac (Leadership) and Intel sci (efficient)
yep, not many BOffs with space traits.
Also it would be nice to get a CHOICE (different BOff traits that are equally good) rather than a "can I afford the only viable choice"

You want to min/max this badly, then you should be prepared to suffer the consequences...
Which is a pile of Nausicaan males as your bridge staff (well, outside of Hierarchy Potato-head). Because they're the only BOffs with the Pirate trait (which is what's giving you the +1.5% damage)
If you're an experienced min/maxxer, then you should be aware that all min/max decisions are generally attempted to force some sort of "compromise" in which you suffer penalties to one aspect (in this case, visuals) for benefits in another (+ damage).
So, you should be thankful that the only consequence to gain this damage bonus is looking at a bunch of fugly Nausicaan faces and the potato-head. You could have like little to no shields or something like that...
And if these BOffs aren't part of your landing party, then there's also the option of using them for EV suit storage... They love to wear those EV suits - tinted visors and all...
Forgot C-Store Liberated Borg (Efficient), Marauder Human (Leadership), Marauder Saurian (if it's a choice for more Efficient).

If they don't stack, then this thread is a moot point. Do you know for sure that they don't?
@dareau - I didn't Forget them - or the Lobi ones (like Xindi Reptile). I didn'T write them down as they are too expensive. I was counting BOffs one could get easily (I do have 17 toons...R&D and embassy BOffs are the most expensive ones I'll ever get )

Okay, 500 zen for C-store Lib. Borg is a bit on the "steeper" side, but the Marauding BOff(s) aren't - they're just gated behind a massive DOffing grind...

As-is, the whining is unwarranted anyway.
Optimal BOff seating is:
2 (or 3!) Romulan SROs from the Embassy
1 Potato BOff (cross faction)
1 (or 2) Nausicaans
If your build doesn't fit in 3 SROs (which is likely), best for remining seats would be 2 Nausicaans. And the Feds can get 1 from Diplomacy. So, they're behind the non-Romulan best possible seating by...
1 Nausicaan.
Every time I see someone complain about it, I wonder if they just want something to complain about.
Oh I know that. I wasn't complaining. Mine is more of a comment that we need more boffs with those traits. Or with a different trait. Take for instance a Klingon Boff could give a Defense buff. Gorn could give a Hull HP/resist Buff. Letheans could give a Exploit Damage Buff. Orions could give a sensor or placate buff. It would just give us a wider selection of Boffs to use, instead of just those 5.
