She makes some great points about how Sci-Fi movies often give us stronger female characters than other genres. And Star Trek has certianly helped lead the way there. It may be guilty of some damsel-in-distress eye candy shenanigans, but I'd put Janeway, Torres, Seven, Kira, Dax, Tasha, and many others up there with Ripley in the ranks of TRIBBLE kicking women.
