The Kuva'Magh ground map has a massive fps hit

The outdoor ground map in the Kuva'Magh mission has a massive fps drop issue (like what Risa was doing). On the indoor portion (and on other outdoor ground maps) I don't drop below 50fps ... on this map I'm at <4fps ... not a typo ... under 4fps. 
It seems to be tied to the grass ... anywhere the grass is in view (& on this map that's almost everywhere) the frame rate is tanked.
AMD A10-7850k ... clocked to 4.1Ghz w/ 16 Gb ram & a Radeon R9-380 2gb ... nothing else in-game hammers the frame rate that badly (apart from Risa before the patch). Adjusting all the various performance/quality slider/setting has no effect on the frame rate drop.
I've tried using the in-game bug report about it ... but I keep getting a: Could not Connect. Please try again later. message.
