Suggestion for Future Breech Event Reward—Feathered Voth Boff or Doff

Obviously the focus now is on Agents of Yesterday and, to a degree, the Crystalline Entity Event. But, while not certain, there’s a decent chance that “The Breech” Event will return again, whether as it is or modified again.

And like the subject heading says, I think a great reward would be a Feathered Voth Doff or Boff. Obviously, the Doff would be easier to make, though a having a Feathered Voth in an away team could be quite striking, possibly beautiful. Imagine a full body of feathers, possibly with some interesting, colorful patterns. Maybe the player could adjust some of the colors in the tailor.

Having Feathered Voth fits the science. Recent evidence suggests that most or even all dinosaurs are descended from early feathered dinosaurs, so of course feathers would be in the Voth’s genes.

I’m not suggesting all Voth get feathers. I grew up in the era of featherless dinosaur portrayals. And I just think they look better. Besides, just as hairless mammals are possible, so are featherless dinosaurs.

But imagine a Voth born (hatched?) with feathers. I’d imagine they’d be seen as deformed and treated with suspicion. Doctrine and those who wield it might look down on them, persecuting them. It might give them a reason to accept the Distant Origin theory and eventually defect.

Anyway, I just think a Feathered Voth of some sort would be a neat reward. I suggest Cryptic consider it.

Interesting idea. As a bit of a BOff collector, I'd have to get one for sure. Just hope that, if it ever came to pass, they made the BOff at least somewhat customizable, unlike Nelin Exil.

I hope they'll make another "breach" event, i didn't complete the last one XD

I actually like this idea for the next breach event id done reward, and would not mind just seeing many of the un-customizable boffs shifted to being able to have their looks customized. Honestly seeing some voth-specific weapons (both space and ground, maybe a ground melee weapon), small graft, and even new armor/looks such as a high ranking voth's garment.

While all these ideas are nice, there's only one thing Voth-related they should give us as a reward for the new event: playable Voth

Forget about uniforms, Boffs, Doffs, that's all in the game already. I want the real thing: to play as one myself

Seriously though, if they released Voth playable species or even a mini-faction (with different abilities depending on career for example), I might never visit the Forum again as I would never have to make another request again, and because I would most likely be busy playing the game 24 hours a day.

Except once a week during maintenance of course, then I might take a nap to dream about my new Voth characters.
