Hierarchy BOff customizable?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
I have read a few times that People were claiming that the Hierarchy Bridge officer (aka "space potato") is customizebla.

However - neither of mine are. As I mostly play Klingon side, I had to do the Mission and Claim one for one of my Feds to check - but Fed Version isn't either.

is that a bug or WAI ? Info would be appreciated.

KDF Roms: 3 tacs, 1 eng, 1 scis
FED: 2 tacs, 1 eng, 2 scis
TOS: 1 tac
all on T5 rep (up to temporal)
all have mastered Intel tree (and some more specs Points)
highest DPS: 60.982

    There's effectively two versions of the BOFF.

    1. Those earned before the update where they turned off heirarchy customization (the option wasn't intentional).
    2. Those earned after the update where they turned off hierarchy customization (on Boffs earned from that point on).

    It was sometime not too long after Delta Rising.
    Bipedal mammal and senior Foundry author.
    Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
    Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!

    If our makes you feel any better, I have the customizable version. No matter what I change, I always go back to the default before I'm done. Just never looks right...

    Same but not as bad as having a Kobali Boff on your away team (KDF side) only able to use FED UNIFORMS........

    Yeah, its customizable if you got it right after DR release, otherwise not.

    Could be worse. At least Feds are the ones with the huge exclusive wardrobe.

    The really bad thing about the zombie is they turned off the ability to put a tail on her, so now I can't change her outfit anymore.

    I call 'em Sontarans, behave like Ferengi look like Sontarans.

    On that note the Reman Science boff you got for doing the vault story arc still can't be customised even though Remans have been in game for almost 3 years.

    Thx for Clearing that up. I feel less stupid now (I am still as stupid though).
