Skill System Limitations

The skill system as it is, is limiting you to a certain class of ships, for example:

I recently bought a Temporal Paradox Dreadnought, and as such I choose allot of sci skills, but I own more ships then just the Paradox.
So now whenever I decide to fly another ship, like an escort I am stuck with these sci skills that I do not require.
It's quite impossible to just respec every time I want to fly one of my other ships.

Can we not just have our skill settings bound to a ship instead of 1 skill setting for all ships?

I have to admit, I do find it strange that we can switch genetic traits in and out, but not re-learn a range of skills so that we are 'current' in only a limited number of skills at any time...

You CAN relearn your skills when you switch ships ... you just have to pony up the Zen for the privilege of doing so (now cheaper at 300 a pop instead of 500!).
