hey got an idea for the devs

ok here's a thought how about a personal room a home for the players that they create in the the foundry and than can go into in there in the game and be like this is where i live i always imagined someone would do this a place where others could come and visit a personal place that you customize would need a window system so that you could have like a skyrise or ship building area out side your window and have a personal terminal for access to mail and exchange and all and maybe a replicator that replicates like all consumables and ship weapons and all ground gears and stuffs that are already available in the game right now at venders all in a single console with a host of decors and windows that make it seem more than just a shell room

I'm guessing it's not in the game because, like full custom interiors for ships, it's a pain for the devs to make, yet returns very little content. It's basically the visiting your own bridge system, but only slightly better, and for the same amount of work. I suppose it being something you construct in the foundry yourself would alleviate a large burden from the devs, but it's not particularly accessible for the the more casual players, and there's the question of what elements would be allowed or restricted, as well as how even to implement it, and if the player base would even put enough effort into making custom rooms to make it worthwhile to introduce the new system.

So basically, the Federation is an organization that exists to protect and preserve peace. I guess we do an awful lot of killing though. Oh well, that isn't important, for now let's roll up our sleeves and get to work.

    Because it's a catch-22.

Why is it not in the game or in plan?
Because the devs don't make cool features to justify the purchase.
Why the devs don't make cool features to justify the purchase?
Because the metrics say players don't buy them.
They don't buy them because cool features don't exist.
They don't buy therefore the devs won't make cool features.

    and repeat ad nauseum.

And unfortunately, in that case, while each side has reasons to "blame" the other, only one can make the first step, and it's the one with the skill and tech.

Most likely because it would constitute new content and the only new "content" they seem to allow is a mission you have to repeat 3-4 times. The "effort" that brought us bridges and the modicum of trophy room was done many seasons ago and they haven't done anything with it since. So, more than likely, it is due to not caring about immersion and not being able to make a quick buck off of it.

To the OP, check out "Apartment on Bajor" in the Foundry.

I think this is exactly the kind of thing you are looking for. :)

I've always thought we should have offices on ESD as fleet admirals. Sell room expansions and stuff to put in there. There is those hallways up stairs that do absolutely nothing at the moment.
