A really good Romulan Engineer build

I enjoy playing engineers. But I've always been iffy about how my space ability points should be allocated and the types of weapons/devices/BOFF skills I should use. I'm going to use the Scimitar Dreadnaught cause...I just love the ship. Can anyone offer advice/setup? Being I'm not sure if Engineers can be good tanks (And I know I can be wrong but it doesn't seem to fit them so I guess I would choose DPS). What kind of build WOULD suit me? DPS? Healing? Thanks for all the answers.

With an engineer you can get away with almost all builds and still throw out 20-30k damage.
Skill planner seems to be down at the moment (switching to new skill system? ) but once it is up and running you can grab just about any build there.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

you can go nearly all out damage as your engineer has shield heal, hull heal, and such covered. A single hazard emitters and maybe one other shield heal and the rest of it can be pure dps. As a rom you can use the valdore to stay alive -- the harder you hit, the more it heals.

Engineers are the *best* tanks. I wouln't try to tank in a scimitar (it can do it, but its not the ships strong point). The trick to engineers is that you can keep a ship alive while blasting stuff easier than anyone else. My engineer flys very delicate high dps escorts (currently in the balt raider) and rarely dies due to his self healing!
