Hologram doffs have time limit?

OK, replicated my Hologram engineering doff a few days ago and put it on the active space duty. Today it has disappeared, so I checked the roaster, not there either. It seems that it has disappeared entirely, I am not running doff mission or anything either. So, it is bug or does holo-doff have some time limit before it disappear?

    They do not disappear. Either you dismissed it or you used it in a doff mission that ended in disaster.

    Was it the white-quality one? White-quality doffs are basically redshirts and can die off in missions with disastrous endings. Green and above only end up in sickbay though, at least that's how I remember it.

    Edit: Also, you said you put it on active duty. Duty officers put on active duty are removed from your roster until you take them off active duty. Are you sure he isn't still there? Check space and ground both.

    What color was the Doff. Blue and Purple ones should never die on Missions. Did you assign it to a Mission for an Exchange. They will disappear if they even let you do that with Bound Doffs.

    ^^ This. Even green doffs should never disappear -- even on disaster.

    Only way green-or-higher doffs can disappear, for ever, is when you're roster is near full (500 max, iirc), and some are coming off a mission: then there's no longer room for them, and they're lost for ever.

    Not a white and never used it on doff...
    Seems that it is gone. Gonna try to report it missing see if it works

    That should *never* happen (unless for reasons outlined above). I know I'd be pretty upset if I lost some purple ones. :) But since you just started the game, are you sure you didn't just donated them to Fleet or something? (Or certain recruitement missions).

    Have you reached your Duty Officer cap? I had an issue on my Science character for a while where certain DOffs would disappear from my roster if I went over my current DOff cap. Check your overflow bag in your inventory. I was about to file a report like you until I looked there and found them.

    Checked around and there is nothing in anywhere... And I am still a few more spot in doff roster. I slot it in the active duty as soon as I got it...
    Well thanks for all the tips. Maybe it is lost as sacrifice to Q as a more civilized form of human sacrifice.
