T6 Temporal Science Vessel (Wells, R'Mor, Korath)

I heard a rumor that Cryptic is developing a T6 version of the Temporal Science Vessel (a.k.a. Wells/R'Mor/Korath).

Any truth to this? Anyone have any specifics on what/where/when we might see such a ship?

As a current T5-U "temp sci" captain, I would be first in line to buy one should Cryptic see fit to release it. I love my R'Mor, and I would gladly shell out for an updated version with Intel seating and maybe a few other enhancements.

And before you all chime-in that the Paradox is the "T6 Wells," please recognize that the "temp dread" is simply not the same star ship experience. I don't see many "fat mobius" pilots pushing 200 speed and chasing down spikey escorts in Ker'rat like I do in my R'Mor. :grin:

So...please, Cryptic? Let the rumor be true! Give us long-suffering T5-U Temporal Science pilots the T6 love we deserve! :smiley:

    Rumors are just that, rumors. It is best not to discuss them, especially if you are getting your information from certain sources.

    It is not, however, unreasonable to think that a T6 Wells or Mobius won't be making their way into the game, given that a T6 version of the Jem'Hadar ship was released.

    The Paradox being a Science Dreadnought, is more of a hybrid of the Wells and Mobius.

    Not sure what you're getting at here. How would updating your wells to include (maybe) Intel seating and (perhaps) a new star ship trait constitute "everything special" being taken away? You mean you LIKE watching others tap into cool Intel abilities - like OSS, EMP Probe, Ionic Turbulence, etc. - while you're stuck using 4 year old Boff seating and generic Sci/Tac/Eng powers?

    I, for one, can't wait for such a ship to appear! :smile:

    Oh, so you liked the "exclusivity" of having a rare/unique ship. Got it! But who's to say an updated version won't still be a Lockbox and/or Lobi Store item? I'm just hoping there's an upgrade path for existing temp sci owners so we don't have to buy a whole new ship! :smile:

    I would LOVE for the T6 wells to be an Intel/Pilot or Intel/Command (Id rather have pilot) hybrid

    As the proud owner and flyer of a Mobius (I've bought a fair few ships since I got my Mobius 18 months or so ago, but always come back to it), I'd be intrigued to say the least by any T6 temporal ships. I have a Paradox and I do enjoy it, but it's not a Mobius equivalent and I'd love something that is.

    You hit the nail on the head there: The Paradox is a great ship, but it's not a 1:1 replacement for either the Wells/R'Mor/Korath or the Mobius/Talvath/???. We need a ship that retains the characteristics of these older models - fast, maneuverable, "tanky" - while adding much needed Intel/Pilot/Command seating.

    Please, Cryptic! There is clearly a market for such a ship. "Build it and they will come..." :smile:

    Well even if the rumour is true, I wonder how they're going to release it. More lockboxes? R&D/DOff pack event? C-Store sale? It would be great if it was a C-Store sale but I doubt it.

    The USS Pastak using Transport Warhead Intel ability (the little countdown above enemies) in the latest mission is pretty good indication of Cryptic at least considering making a T6 version.

    As for discounts, upgrades directly to T6, etc. for pre-existing T5-U Temporal ships is very unlikely, given the uber-ship JHAS having received none of that. C-Store and Fleet T5-U also offer no discounts going to T6, so the spot in-between those two price points/rarity seems rather unlikely.

    Which means at least a lt cmd intel...Im hoping for a hybrid like the JASS but with intel and Pilot..OR..Two hybrid intel seats...maybe the a Lt universal and the LtC universal as hybrid intel seats..One can only hope right?

    It will probably be a C-Store ships. The last batch of C-Store ships where designed for the "Iconian War" etch. Since we're going into a Temporal War I assume the next batch of Ships for the C-Store could be Temporal themed.

    But hey I could be wrong maybe we could get another one maybe a Borg? lol :p who am I kidding. They let an Undine Ship into the game to be used by us so well just hopping they do make one for the borg. I'll settle for an assimilated one lol :p
