+10% hull & shields and +1 tac console, not worlds apart but sure a nice bump in the right direction. Definitely worth it if you've got the EC for 1 fleet module.
I'm using a Fleet Galaxy-X on one of my tacts and i've enjoying it. Certainly can pull its own weight in STF'S. I'm not sure if they have or not but it does feel like the accuracy on the lance has been improved over the original version.
I enjoy my Galaxy X as well. The only reason I am asking about the fleet upgrade is I have the points but don't want to waste them. Also the fleet module will either blow all my EC in a few days or use my dilithium.
I am loath to use my Zen/Dilithium because I am saving up for the shared bank account.
I will get to the 14 million required for the module and then decide.
I've used the Eclipse/Guardian/Galaxy/Avenger and Galaxy-X fleet versions and have got more dps out the Galaxy-X followed by the Eclispe then Avenger. Plus the X is pretty tanky. However also got to take the skill revamp into consideration and will the build i currently use work as well once this goes live.
I'm apprehensive about change and not feeling this skills revamp when there's so much more of the game thats broken, where those resources should have been allocated to.
But regarding the Tier 6 Fleet Galaxy she is a fine ship.
I have all variants of the Galaxy-X. She's not a one trick pony by any means, but the extra console does make a difference if you want to use all of her native consoles.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
Well I got her and at the moment am not as impressed as I thought I would be. Even though I transferred all my consoles she seems to turn like a dog.
Notwithstanding the above, I have put a new skin on her and taken her out and she seems adequate. Will have to keep flying to get the mastery which should help.
Can you believe Cryptic are charging 3000 Zen for one of the skins, in the words of Luke Skywalker, I could buy my own ship for that!
If your already using the zen Gal X then the fleet version is a flat upgrade, and since you went T5U on the zen version the fleet one will go T5U for free for a full 11 console slots etc.
I just pulled my Fleet Galaxy X out again. This is really a great ship. I own a few T6 ships but i just have more fun flying the X. Haven't felt the need to buy the T6 version at all.
I have bought one and was disappointed with her. That was until I realised that I had to get the mastery up to the level of my non Fleet ship. It is a shame there is no saucer sep, but I can live without it.
Would have like to have levelled her up quicker but when they sprang the service sale I have been on mad dilithium hunt with all three of my characters. Had to get the shared bank account!

Actually, the Gal-X can equip the consoles from the "Galaxy" line, so that T4 Refit's Saucer Separation Console, the T5+1's Anti Matter Spread, and the T6's whatever can fit.
Along with the Defiant line's cloak and quad cannons...
Of course, you need to own all these other ships to do so, but I've bought all the Galaxies over the years (except for Andromeda and Yamato) - get the Defiant line cloak with the Gal-X (T5), and just got the quad cannons in the last C-store giveaway where they gave out the Sao Paulo...
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

Oh, the "phaser lance" turns into a "phaser shotgun" when separated, and I think the saucer can fire a shotty blast as well...

This also means it can get the associated set bonuses, which help the Galaxy's traditional asteroid-like turning rate.

I am not paying real money just to get saucer sep. My cloak, pets and lance are enough for me.
Do note, that the Saucer Separation Console bearing Galaxy is the Galaxy Refit available at T4 for 1500 zen ($15 USD).
While this is a... solid... amount of grinding, there's always the "wait for a sale" option as well...
As a periodic Gal-X pilot myself (T5 variant, not fleet), I find getting the phaser shotty and the extra turn speed from the separation console is worth the investment in a spare T4 ship I've used like never... Though it waits in the wings for that weird day when I decide to level another Feddie engineer...

If and when I buy a new ship it will be either a science ship for my science Fed or a decent ship for my Tac Romulan, using the Kremin at the moment and quite good is not Romulan.

T5 Galaxy is the one with Saucer Separation. T4 comes with Antimatter spread.
The T5 is called the retrofit. The refit is T4. If you were looking to get just the saucer sep console; you would have to buy T5, which would only cost 2000 Zen. Do not buy a T4, thinking it has saucer sep. That is wrong.
This is assuming you were planning on buying, which I know you already said you weren't.

I may get a T6 next month for my birthday, Mrs Glenn and aftershave notwithstanding.
