So iv'e gone to club 47, and have realized There is Nothing to do!. So this is where my suggestion comes into play! So there will be a console in club 47, with a bunch of star trek song tracks! and the theme songs to all the star trek series! that you can choose and play, you can add a cool down to how many songs you can pick! i just think it would be fun to go there and listen to a bunch of Star Trek Music! i hope you take this suggestion into consideration. -Sincerely hope you enjoy this idea! Thank you.

But no excuse to always have the same tune going in there...plenty of other music is affordable. Heck they could even Live Stream real DJ's if they had the resources.
They could make better use of their social zones, like the club. All that work. And no real reason to go there. Also, I'm not sure why Q doesn't spawn there for anniversary and Winter Events. Other then some ppl being clueless and getting lost, not being able to find him. I see no reason why they wouldn't put him there.
I don't mind having some places that have no function other than just being there. It adds more to the in-game world overall. Heck, I wish they'd add more rooms to New Romulus Command (plenty of doors there), plus expand the two Academies, maybe revamp the social areas in stations like Ganalda and K-7.
It's just a nice-to-have thing that adds to the environment. Every good MMO needs a little of that, I think.
- Great fights or bullies to fight
- Suspicious characters selling special items (high tier and rarity)
- Missions (confiscate contraband, catch bandits, arresting fugitives, etc.)
That exists on Nimbus - a weapons hot/cold transition on the same map, when inside or outside the gates. Maybe that's a transferrable mechanic?
Well I did see a "fed Gorn" once... not sure how he did it.
"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."
u sure it wasn't gorn-styled fed alien?
I have my moments of brain activity here and there - I try to capitalize on it when it happens
I've ask several times since They created the Star Fleet Academy, if we could please have a Transporter room added there.
For one thing, I hate getting beamed down willy-nilly all over the place.
Secondly, It's a Freaking Semi-Military Academy for crying out loud, I can't imagine that it would be OK for folks to be beaming in and out whenever they please without some kind of security keeping track.
And thirdly, it would give Them a reason to open up another of those wasted buildings around the quad.

I was just at the Academy, thinking the same thing. There's no reason that there can't be a transporter pad around there somewhere. At the very least, the map's buildings need a serious interior update to match ESD and other new Fed indoor assets.
Cool idea, but I don't think it'd be enough to draw people into the club. Plus we'd need to license all of that music, which is unlikely.
Funny, because it drives me nuts that we almost ALWAYS beam down to a transporter pad. You don't have to go from Transporter to Transporter. How many times in the shows did they beam from one transporter pad to another? 95% of the time, they're going from transporter pad to random spot.
As for security, I'm sure Starfleet is keeping track of all of the beaming. You probably aren't being beamed directly to that spot. You're probably going into some pattern buffer, which then scans you and redirects you to your target location.
I really hate when people say that set dressing is wasted. The ESD shuttle bay is "wasted' because you can't go in there. The buildings at SFA are "wasted" because you can't go in them. Is the moon "wasted" too because you can't go there? Unless you want all of your maps to be contained in a solid box, there is going to be set dressing around the edges. That doesn't mean it's wasted.
If anything, I think my main criticism was that maps that showed functionality for their purpose should be left relatively untouched to focus on new stuff. That's just a difference of opinion, because I also understand the reasons for renovating maps, and providing new art assets for the environment.
It's just a typical matter of "Better is the enemy of good", nothing more. What the environmental team did end up creating is absolutely beautiful.
I wouldn't say set dressing is a waste of effort because aesthetics are always important for what you want to convey in the game, and I believe that areas you can't get to right now are just doorways to future expansion, not a barrier.
Sure, we can't get to the moon right now, but the moon is there if at any point the dev team wanted to take the story to the moon. Even if you don't, things like the shuttlebay in ESD, the Reman City on New Romulus, the buildings at SFA set the scene -- even if we [the players] are not part of that particular scene for purposes of storytelling.
There is no way that all the work you and the others do is wasted. No way! One of the key features of a well-rounded MMO is having expansive, detailed settings that you can live inside for a bit.
I think most players in this thread want more of the awesome work you do, not less I'd love to see even more added to SF Academy, plus bring places like K-7, SB 39, and Ganalda up to the game's current level of quality and design themes. Sure, functionality where it makes sense to add it is a great thing, but just having wonderful settings to be in is something awesome and functional in itself, I'd think.
