badlands battlezone

Quick question on the zone. I am finding that I am being killed a lot with full shields (across all my toons) I have no issues anywhere else but in there. The only toon I am able to stay alive on is my fed engineer, and it seems to happen only when it starts getting laggy.

It is not a slow burn down of hull either it all at once I will be full health next sec down to less then 5% hull.

The other weird part is I will use MW on my eng rom and it will only heal like 2% of hull not what it is supposed to. BTW my kenetic resist are all 40-46% and cant figure it out.

Sounds like a whole lot of lag is going on your side. 2 of my regulary played characters are also engineers and I've never had MW bug out on me, might also because of the lag.

Also the badlands are harder as they finally are lvl 60 content. In all the other zones there's the wonky scaling which still enables you to steamroll everything like in the undine zone. In the badlands you really do need some decent gear and some generic unperpowered mk12 stuff won't do you any favours.

As for the almost insta kills, I'd guess you've come too close to an heavy escort. Their point defense barrages are quite deadly and even rip beefy crusiers & dreads apart in mere seconds. Bailing out is pretty much the only thing you can do about them.

    This ^

That Zone is not intended to be friendly most specially with slow or old PC's. Worse if you have both. They should really fix that place-up.

I have to agree, it sounds like you're getting caught in a plasma storm, but the lag is making it so you don't see it. It just appears on your end like you lose hull all at once.

I have however, had the issue with Miracle Worker, frankly.. I hardly ever use it anymore because most of the time the heal is so pathetically small it's not worth using. Like you, I experience the issue when using a Romulan Engineer. I have a Fed Engineer as well, and I don't think I have had that problem with her.
    Insert witty signature line here.

thank you for the information will try adjusting my graphics before I go in there to see if I can find something to cut down on the lag.
I didn't know about the escorts but will make sure I stay away from them

    thank you again

Also watch out for Multi-mission science vessels using a graviton shield (purple bubble round the ship). It reflects kinetic damage right back at you and can easily kill you if you shoot your torps at the wrong time.

Plus there's a lot of tractor beams going on in there and to add to your pain the Terran ships do way more damage with torp spread than you could ever hope to, so watch out for those spreads of quantum torps.
