Mirror Romulan: Undershirt-less variant?

alexraptorralexraptorr Member Posts: 1,192 Arc User

The Mirror Romulan costume from what I can see is not much to write home about, and hardly worth the amount of Lobi it costs.
But perhaps we could have an option to remove the undershirt to give it a bit more sex appeal?

I mean seriously, the Federation variants offers chest hair for males and bare midriffs and cleavage for females. And it's not like the neckline plunges far enough on the Romulan jackets to make it explicit.

Oh, that would be an awesome idea. I support this!

That's the first option I looked for when unlocking the standard republican-fed outfit: no undershirt.

Sadly, that was not the case, and not even for an expensive lobi costume, which is a missed opportunity yet again for our Roms to have something more comfortable and less stuffy.

It makes no sense that the Mirror Universe Imperial Romulans are republicans anyways and so being restricted to 're-creating' (cutting off the sleeves) an existing republican design seems perplexing.

Yeah, I mean no-undershirt would make them stand out a lot more.
Simply just cutting off the sleeves is nothing short of lazy, even the KDF halter top is better than that.

I'm in 100% support for this! Please make it happen, Cryptic!

C'mon Cryptic, throw us Romulans an actual bone, not just the Admiralty thing. I think we deserve more for actually sticking with the fraction as long as we have.

No undershirt, sure. But why isn't it cropped like the Fed/KDF versions? Although even with a cropped version it still wouldn't be worth the same pricetag as the Fed version.

I don't really get why the mirror outfits have to be faction-restricted in the first place. The Federation is no more the Terran Empire than the Klingon Empire or Romulan Republic. Real Ferengi would sell us all the outfit packs regardless of the color of our transporter beam.

The KDF/Rom mirror uniforms are just cheap knockoffs. Especially the Romulan, considering the doff assignments reveal there has never been a Romulan Republic in the mirror universe at all. The Ferengi of the lobi crystal shop must have made the whole thing up to scam us. The pack should actually contain mirror versions of imperial Romulan outfits.

At this point, I'll take what I can get, bc Cryptic has screwed over the KDF/Rom factions and they know it.

Do the developers even actually visit this part of the froums? =/

By the way, does anyone know if the KDF and Fed mirror outfits works on aligned Romulans?

Mirror outfits are faction specific, regardless of alliance. Basically, if it's not available in the Lobi store costume section, you can't use it. So Roms can only use the Mirror Rom outfit, no matter what their allegiance is.

Thought as much, got a bit confused from doing the "usable by character" search on the exchange.

But yeah, Cryptic! Still want that undershirt-less variant plzzz!!!
