Admiralty system QOL improvement: Automatic Ship Assignment

Hello,
I think it would be a major improvement to the admiralty system if ships were automatically assigned to missions. The Duty Officer system already does this with doffs and makes the whole experience much easier and feel like less of a grind.
I know sometimes it can take me a half hour to fill two characters' assignment slots because I'm trying to get all the numbers to work out in the most efficient way. And I have 11 toons.
Does this sound like a good improvement?

Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.
