Help! Where is my ship?

Hey All,
Arggghhh crazy, as if i'm not frustrated enough I clicked on the BBCode link and lost my whole damn post! What a day.
Ok this time I'm going to keep it real short and sweet. Basically I did a Admiralty Plan and won an Advanced Escort [T6]. I have looked everywhere for it but could not find it. However, I then went back to Admiralty to do another Plan and to my amazement there the ship was! - So I decided to use it and the plan was a success. I then checked the Ship Roster and there it was at the bottom.
However, no matter where I looked from "Select Ship" to "Active Ships" to "The Inventory" even the "Dry Dock" and the ship was no where to be found. I have searched all over the internet and nothing seems to come up so I'm really hoping you can help. I have taken some screen shots so you can see everything.
The really strange thing is that when I used the ship to do another Plan at some point it disappeared on me, I looked at the Assignment Log and the mission was a success. So I went into "View Details" and I couldn't believe it, the ship had gone and there was an empty slot! I checked the Ship Roster and the ship was no longer there.
Now I do remember getting a free Ambassador Class ship and decided to unpack it as it was stored in the bank and I think when I did this the T6 ship vanished but I'm not sure. I have 11 ships in total. 9 Starships and 2 Shuttles. I have 8 on my main active screen and 1 shuttle. I have 1 Starship and 1 shuttle in Dry Dock.
There is nothing in the inventory as you can see on the screen grab and I have even double checked by hovering over each symbol, and there is no overflow bag. So the questions are this....
1) Is there only a Maximum of 11 Ships allowed and when I unpacked the Ambassador Class ship did that cause me to lose the T6 Ship?
2) Where could the T6 ship be, I searched everywhere before unpacking the other ship and it was simply not to be found accept for in the Admiralty section.
For your information my Rank is Admiral [55] as I'm sure that will help. Hopefully the screen shots will make sense too, Ive highlighted the main parts in a red box but there maybe other sections I have missed as I'm still a noob.

This is where you can see that the Plan was a success.
This is "Viewing Details" of the Plan and you can clearly see the ship has gone. (I can assure you I did not use two ships).

That sounds like a one-use ship card - they're sometimes awarded. It's only the ship card, not a playable ship.

My forum single-issue of rage: Make the Proton Experimental Weapon go for subsystem targetting!
Yeah I could use it in a Plan (Admiralty), however, if that was the case the ship would not go into Maintenance (I don't think anyway) which it did.
Also, you can see that it says I have been awarded the ship rather than a Token of some sort. Also, the reward was EC, Skill and a Purple Box - The other box I got a while back (which is the one I spoke of in my OP) unpacked the Ambassador Ship and I could name and everything.
Logic really does dictate that if I was awarded a Token it would say so, an it surely would not put it into Maintenance if it was a token it would just remove it? Well that would make sense but I don't know, Arghh hate being a noob
It's clearly say's awarded 1x Advanced Escort [T6], just like it did when I unpacked the Ambassador Class ship but said awarded 1x Cruiser [T?] ? being that I can't remember the tier. But hey that's why I'm here, so if there are such things as tokens for one time use that is really pointless, but, you will all know more than me as I've not been on for that long at all and still have so much to learn.

Wow, well I am surprised! To be honest it is totally confusing and I'm actually surprised there are not alot more posts about it. However thankyou both for taking the time to clear that up for me.
Just on a quick note I'm going to be buying a Ship tomorrow and I want it to be a more Weapons/Defense based ship. Based on what I have read the "Tactical Star Cruiser [T6]" would be my best option. I don't want to get off topic but would someone be kind enough to give me a run down of the very best weapon and defense setup with what Consoles/Shields/Warp... etc that I would need to acheive the ultimate mean machine.
If you prefer me to start another thread on the topic then I would be more than happy to do so.

Ok thanks, I will open another thread. I'm not currently in a fleet so I don't know if I would be able to use those consoles?
I will re-post my original question and mention that I am not in a Fleet.

That's fair enough but considering i'm coming up to almost 1 months play, whilst it may be funny for you for somone that has never played this game and the fact that it is a very complex MMORPG there are going to be somethings noob's will miss or not understand. I belive that's why we have the "Academy Section" of the forum?
To your responses thou...
1) all you have to do is click the little info button when your planning a mission that's next to the received ship
Why? - Could I just not Plan the mission and visually see what I'm going to get? Such as the Skill Points, Expertise and the Box.
2) on the ship roster of the admiralty system it says Consumed on use
It was in maintenace when I saw it and there was no such thing saying that it was a 1 time deal, even more so, if there were an option to maybe right click and select info or something simular, why would I do it? As far as I'm concerned, it's in the roster and thats that.
3) 1x wasn't a clue
Hmmm... When I get a weapon from a box (not that I have noticed it says 1x or not you always keep it. So when you get a ship from a box it tends to open your eyes more and think that the 1x actually implies (1 x Ship) - it's not clear what-so-ever.
However, I'm glad you took the time to drop into the Newbie forum to have a good laugh, I'm sure it was very entertaining for you.
