How much Defense is enough?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
When moving my Fleet Battle Cruiser on my Tac has 95% defense. How much is enough?

    Enough defense for what exactly? To trigger Reciprocity in an average pug, sure. To never be hit by NPCs, nope. To mitigate a good portion of damage against players, unlikely unless you're facing a total novice.

    I should have specified a little better, Pugs and can I reduce it with minimal impact?
