Delta Recruits: Their Future Uncertain?

Not sure if this has been answered elsewhere, but I have searched and have not discovered it.

Right now nearly every single Delta Recruit is sitting on a by-now-unusable Tesseract Communications Receiver that they cannot discard or otherwise let go of. It takes up space that could be used for something else.

While this was a past event intended to usher in rapidfire recruits for the Iconian War, nothing further has come of this aside from the special rewards during the promotion. Will there be further Delta content in the future? If not, what is the purpose of the ingame content that sits, gathering dust?

    Future-proofing ;)

Odds are low that there will be "Delta sequel" content, but you never know.

As in the other DR post, Delta Recruit WILL be returning. As for further content, who knows.

Im guessing that an event similar to the Delta Recruit event will happen in the not to distant future and those tesseract things will either become useful again, or be traded for a different " thing" that will give out shiny new prizes. I personally enjoyed the Delta Recruit event,, it gave me a reason to start 3 new characters ( all of which I still play) as well as a reason to play the older missions in the game.. which is a double edged sword, but was worth it in the end.
As for the Tesseract taking up ONE inventory slot... Not going to start a flame war....

according to a poster in the other thread "Ricossa has said in webcast that Delta Recruit will be returning!" I find it interesting assuming this is the exact wording used.
I hope the event turns out to be what players are hoping for, I just have a feeling it wont.

the primary reason for the last event was to attract new players but it was engineered so current players could benefit also, I think if they rerun the event it will be much more beneficial to new players then it will be for current ones.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

I've got a bunch of items that just take up space in several of my Toon's Banks, (been playing since Day-1), including the Tesseract for my Lady Delta-TAC Talaxian.
But they all have a fun game memory attached to them and I don't wish to lose or give them up.
So I don't see it as a big deal.
Though I wouldn't mind having something put into the game in the future make it useable again.
(also, if it does get lost or messed up somehow, you can always claim another from the T.I. Agent by Admiral Quinn)

It would be silly to have another Delta Recruit event, simply to make a single inventory item useful.
One inventory slot is a small price to pay for the benefits granted to a Delta recruit.

On the other hand... Gamma Recruits?....

I would totally level another Delta alt or three. I enjoyed that story line.
