Just got one of these today and I've always loved kitbashing. However, you can only customize the following on the Bortasqu'
- Head/Saucer
- Body/Hull
- Nacelles
I would have personally like it to be more modular and include pylons, mission pod, etc. but it seems those were all mashed together into the body/hull.

Options are Bortasqu', Kahless, Martok, Gorkon.
Materials 0, 1, 2, 3, Upgrade.
The T5 Bortasqu' bridge is still available.
This part is a real shame. I found that I prefer much of the original Bortasqu model; it's just thicker and beefier looking than any of the new models, and matches the ship that can be seen from the windows on the bridge. I would have liked to stick the Martok's head on the front, for its cannon barrels, but it just doesn't line up with any hull save the Martok hull. So my Martok looks like a T5 Bortasqu, from fore to aft.
And I believe the opposite is also true. The bortaS hull doesn't line up with the new saucers either if you wanted to put a new head on the old body.

Still... l don't understand that something like this can make it past QA and gets released in such a state.
Part of the benefits of playing kdf side.
*Note: im sure they do have QA, but it would seem nowhere near enough or the team is under such tight deadlines that there is actually no time to get these things fixed before they get pushed live for better or worse.*
I will concur, a lot of the parts don't line up right. But this issue persisted with the Command FDC Pack. Well, at least the windows work.
As someone that loves kitbashing stuff in STO, sure, the bug is annoying - but lots of players will never see the bug because they fly some of the other ships.
I can totally see why a company has very good reasons to release the ships as is and fix them later.
I just hope it doesn't take as long as hte missing Kor customization options. (Still waiting on those )
So is the T5 B'rel, I wouldn't hold your breath. Well one of them is, either the c-store or the fleet version cant use the b'roth akin, same issue the Kor has and its been this way for years.
The T5/T5U C-Store B'Rel works perfectly on her costumes last I tried a while back. It's the Fleet and both T6 versions that are borked.
Anyways, regarding the T6 Bortasqu' aesthetics, I do kind of wish one of them had a more pronounced, sharper 90 degree wing pylon hanging down that holds the engines. To give it a D-7/K'T'Inga/Mogh look in that part of the ship.
It would look sweet. Get that hull/pylon/nacelle configuration, one of the Bortasqu' saucer sections that reminds me heavily of a K'T'Inga, and use the light grey hull texture.
Very much so. In addition, in 1 year, the Kar'Fi will still be half-invisible. In 2 years, the Kar'Fi will have somehow disappeared from the game entirely.
You make it sound like it's that bad a thing. It's not as though they took 3 borg elite queues out of the game entirely. Ummm wait, no, that doesn't sound right. What am I missing here?
Does it look better to people? I somehow never really saw those gaping holes (like with the Kar'Fi), but it still doesn't seem that the Bortas Saucer or Hull play well with the hull or saucers of the Tier 6 variants. Does that work better for anyone else?
Also, still no Type 4 Material.
No. The part that sticks out to me with the worst gaps is the Gorkon's triple-nacelle cluster. Use those nacelles on anything but the Gorkon hull, you'll see big gaps from where the tips of the wings connect to the nacelle cluster. I'd like to use those nacelles on other hulls but that gap is significant.
So, I went to the ship tailor and started playing with the different parts today.
The T5 Bortas'que "head" (saucer? command section?) is too large to fit any of the T6 flagship "neck"s. The mismatch is really, really bad. The effect is like trying to taxidermy an elephant head to a cow body.
One "body" was so bad, it looked like the product of an alien race that festooned it's outer hull with the wreckage of it's enemies. The severed head of a defeated Klingon Empire Flagship proudly displayed on the prow like a trophy.
I don't know. I feel rather "meh" about the entire affair. I can still use the stock T5 Bortas'que ship appearance.
