Still, people might decide that the ship isn't worth getting right now.
It's an admiralty card, it's infinitely reclaimable in the future/on all characters, it's an event prize..... I can't see any reason (other than the totally understandable "I can't play the game right now, as I'm <terminally ill/on deployment/my computer's on fire/etc>") why anyone wouldn't bother to get any of the "free" ships they give out. It's just never made sense to me. "Eh, I don't feel like it" just seems silly. (but not as silly as the various idiotic "They won't let me get last year's ship, so I'll show them! I won't get this year's!" things people say. /facepalm)
Eh, whatever. /shrug
(and yeah, I'm missing a couple of the prior event ships. DSD, Odyssey..... wasn't playing when they happened, and didn't pay attention to the game News in those days. My loss, my fault, no position to complain.)
