Fleet Advanced Hyper-Efficient Engine Strange Behavior

I recently switched my engine from the Solanae freebie to a Fleet Advanced Hyper-Efficient with the Spd x3 mod and I've noticed some odd behavior. When underway in system space I average ~130 at first (using EPtE1), but then after a while (2-3 mins) my speed increases to ~150. There is no obvious reason for the increase as far as I can tell from reading my buffs, etc. It's just that suddenly my "top end" with EPtE1 (constantly cycled along with Aux2Damp1) increases by roughly 20 points.

Of course, I'm not complaining - speed is everything in PvP - just curious about the behavior. Is there some hidden buff in the Fleet engines, perhaps stacking over time and thus bumping my speed after a few minutes?

    Are you using the Advanced Engines trait? While researching the current Speed formula, I have found that the Advanced Engines trait grants an additional 8% speed boost over the span of 8 minutes.

    Are you using the Aux2Damp doff? I'd assume so if you're constantly cycling it but with all the various boff cooldown reducers around... Also, is there anything that happens in your build every few minutes to increase your aux and/or engine power?

    Of course it's entirely possible I'm just being dim, I'm not immediately familiar with the stats on either of the engines.

    Yep, using advanced engines Trait. Might be the source - I'll have to do some testing tonight

    There's been a bug for a long while where after using evasive maneuvers one gets a semi permanent speed boost as long as one does not drop their throttle below 100%. It doesn't always happen but I've seen it happen on all my characters from time to time, even the ones without any doffs or nice gear.
