Please remove specialization lock out

Please change the lock out so we can switch between specializations out of combat. These specialization lock outs are tedious. Every other game with talents/specializations/or some system meant to boost character abilities allows people to change out of combat. Not leave a combat or mission just to switch.

    I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

    yes fix this you can't even change it when you started the mission

    Part of me screams "supported".
    Part of me wants to generate ground & space secondaries - so that I can slot pilot as a space secondary, commando as ground, and either intel or command as primary.
    Part of me wants to complain that the entitlement mentality of this community is way too high, and this is one of the remaining places where you have to choose / sacrifice one set of abilities for another. Especially in light of the power-creep-itis that makes it to where you don't need specilizations to practically run the table...
    Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

    Just look how long it took for trait slots to be split into ground and space ones - and they have been in the game since like day 1. Compared to that, specializations are a relatively new thing, so my guess is that it's going to take quite some time (and complaints from the playerbase), before we see any change in that regard.

    Won't the command abilities that impact the whole team make this far more difficult than you'd think?

    Only if other players in the team are not communicating, imo.

    Thinking that it would impact code that generates stats if group boosts were coming into and out of existance mid-play. From a gameplay perspective it could get a bit exploity with pre-mades having co-ordinated spec changes.
