I am very sure this has been asked before. However why are we not allowed to make a formal complaint within the kobali episode? Even if our position within the coalition means we must comply and do anyway, I wanted to have my romulan go 'You're absolutely right we shouldn't be here according to the prime directive. Let's pull out and let the vaudwar eradicate these.... what do you humans call them? Ghouls?' There was no dialog that I recall that hinted at leadup to the inevitable, and logical, solution of returning the vaudwar-cicles and using the facility to stow WILLING donors. Also I want the 'you can't use our body as host' injections for myself and my crew. You will not try to record or preserve anything of what I was, so you get NOTHING off of me.
Ditto with the 'rebirth' process. You are not honoring the dead if you are forcing the newly reanimated to purge those memories without even a cursory attempt at recording those experiences. Seriously if they were at all wanting to genuinely memorialize those who were there would be gigantic archives housing what ws known instead of 'well you're kobali now, forget all of that.' That leads me into 'you're not memorializing, you're just harvesting corpses. Stop making halfbaked excuses.'
I didn't remember the kobali from voyager so the reveal was wonderful. That they looked like blue vaudwar didn't twig to me because I thought they were just an offshoot or something. Wonderfully done.
