Is it impossible to trade bridge officers now?

Is it not possible to trade or am I being dense. I do see the bridge officers as a option when I click the "click here" at the bottom. but choosing them keeps poping up that they can not be transferred.

    yeah, I think that feature was only added so that people could cross-train boffs. Since we now have manuals it's obsolete.

    It really just depends from boff to boff. I really have no idea how to tell but some boffs you can trade and some you cant. You can see for yourself since you can still find plenty of boffs on the exchange.

    You can Mail them to anybody you like though.
    I shuffle mine around from Alt to Alt all the time. (until they become one of your official crew though)

    It's more to do with the status of the officer than which one it is. Officers that end up in your inventory due to having a full prospective roster can still be traded/sold. I'm not sure about the ones that are in the prospective roster and awaiting assignment. But definitely the ones that are part of your normal crew are bound to you.

    You can sell the ones in the prospective candidates list on the exchange. Go to the sell tab of the exchange, on the top left is a box that says sell, click it, it is a drop down menu, pick the officer you want to sell, and it goes into the window, add a price and click post. You can not drag an drop them tho.

    As for trading boffs they removed that when the training manuals were brought in.

    How do you manage to mail them? or are you talking about the ones from the inventory and not the candidates list?

    You can mail boffs that have not been commissioned / joined, except some bound ones like Delta Pack, mission rewards, LTS/veteran androids.

    Just go to a mail terminal, activate, compose, drag them to a mail slot like with doffs.
