Issues with Foundry missions not moving to next mission.

The last 2 foundry missions that I have started, The Medusa and the Gorn Dragon ones let you finish the first mission, but then when you goto move on in it, it does not offer the next mission part!! The Gorn dragon one lets you complete all 2 first parts, but then after you grade it, it does not offer the next part to goto!!

All foundry missions have to be queued up individually. At the moment, the game doesn't automatically bring up successive parts for you.

Sometimes you just have to do a picard facepalm.

Unfortunately, my game frequently closes at the most inopportune times, and then I end up not being able to finish the foundry missions that it happens during!!

I wasn't talking about them bringing up successive missions. What my point was, is the fact that some of them do not even let me complete them and then give me the reward for finishing said mission.

If missions are crashing then the thing to do is to send an in-game mail to the author, letting him/her know what's going on (their in game handle is @ then whatever name is associated with the mission) provided these crashes are happening consistently at the same point in the mission. There's not a whole lot that can be done with just the idea that there are some missions out there that aren't working correctly, you need specific details (ex. at what point exactly are the crashes happening) so the author can take a look, see if they can work out what the issue may be, then continue things on with cryptic if they can positively identify a problem.

If the game frequently cuts out in general then you're not dealing with a Foundry bug. Check on by the support forums for help/info in that case.

I had a problem built into my first mission that I didn't even realize was there until one of the people who reviewed it was kind enough to point it out.

The mission would play through without a problem, provided that it was done in one attempt. What I didn't realize, until it was brought to my attention, is that the mission could not be completed if a player was kicked out (or left) and tried to return.

The reason? I set the transitions to specific points on my maps, instead of making them map-wide. As I also had obstacles that had to be cleared in order to progress, and as these obstacles would reset if the player left the mission, once the player advanced past the map containing such obstacles, the map would become impossible to pass through a second time should the player leave on a subsequent map.

To make a long story short, map-wide transitions are a very good idea, and might help prevent some of the problems mentioned by the OP :)
