Stats for Tholian Mesh Weaver Escort

I can't seem to find any sort of stats on this thing, have they been posted somewhere and I just missed it?

    Not yet released, same goes for all new ships. Probably tomorrow when the server is shut down for the maintenance.

    Tough its probably some kind of sciency escort like the MVAE.

    The server goes down on Thursday morning PST (somewhere between 6 am and 7 am). For Reference, I'm in Pacific Standard Time and the time as of this post is near 1:30 am.

    Considering that we also have the Krenim Science Vessel coming out on thursday, we will probably get the blogs later today.

    Yes, not available yet, but what has been said stands, probably sci-oriented Escort. Also it's an T5, replaces the Malon/Nihydron/APU/Kazon of the newer lockboxes the way I understood it, meaning the drop rate will be reasonably high, and will be able to upgrade to T5U (like all the abovementioned ships).

    Cryptic: still releasing T5 ships for some reason, even though the free ones we get are even T6. Normally, I would not care that much, but I was really looking forward to this ship. Finding out it is T5 kind of puts a damper on my interest in STO, to say the least.

    Well, given that these ships can usually be found for only a couple of million EC on the exchange, they're pretty good ships. The only difference between T5 (edit: meant T5-U) and T6 is the lack of specialisations and a starship trait. The former are nice but not entirely necessary to be competetive, the latter isn't even necessary at all if you own enough T6's.

    Hm yeah you are correct. I meant the difference between T5U and T6, going to correct that now...

    Since the Mesh weaver will be upgradeable to T5U, it doesn't really matter if it's T5 or T6, but given that, like all blue box ships, they're a lot more common and easier to get, there should be some difference in tier. But they're still good ships, that was the point basically.

    When it is the ship you have wanted for years...and you find out it is coming soon...only to then find out it is a plain-jane tier 5 with nothing universal, no secondary boff seating, NOTHING...yeah, really disappointing. Not even a way to upgrade it to be a proper endgame ship, either.

    The other Tholian Ships from before are T5 Fleet Level ships (10 Consoles), that are freely upgradable to T5U (11 Consoles). This is also the Frigate pet for the Recluse. Being a Pet it could realistically be slightly less powerful than other Tholian Ships. Cryptic blew that theory with the Plesh Brek and JHAS/JHSS/JHSS.

    Not trying to be an a** or insensitive dude or *that guy* here, but seriously we're talking of a single ship here, and while I value different tastes, I'm even personally surprised it got added as an escort when in game it appeared more a frigate. Even despite all that, it's in a game, ship you've wanted for years, and you're bothered over stats? If you really wanted it that much, stats wouldn't be an issue. You don't go courting a girl for months only when finally get to her dump her because her rack isn't what you thought it'd be. You either like something the way it is, or you don't and move to something else.
